It's one year later for Andy and Jeff. The Messiah is dead, and the boys dream of filling his shoes. That is if the can stop arguing over whose turn it is to film in the basement.

Welcome back! I love that you've decided to continue this. More RickHead!
6/8/2014 09:15:20 am
Oh man, I cracked up at actually hearing "Reviewaverse" out loud. :-D
6/8/2014 09:24:53 am
I mean this in a good way, but this episode of The Reviewers reminded me off Richard Linklater's early work.
6/8/2014 10:00:11 am
That's no way to talk about MikeJ.
6/8/2014 12:28:49 pm
Is it Chris Bores Day already?
6/8/2014 10:11:49 am
Things I liked:
6/9/2014 02:13:34 am
I have nothing to do with this site, but it's my understanding that it's very hard for them to schedule everybody together to get something like this and 80s Dan accomplished. Either way, they look great and I can't wait for more!
6/9/2014 02:17:35 am
I'm working on the next episode right now, this show will have a regular season of episodes; not irregular like the other shows. Granted, the season will be short, but if it goes over well, there will be another season of episodes next year.
6/8/2014 10:27:57 am
Ah the classic director Brad trademark of character A placing arm over character B's shoulders and explaining things to them my favorite :)
Doug Walker (not really)
6/8/2014 10:55:24 am
Wouldn't it be cool if the Nostalgia Critic turned out to be the reincarnation of the messiah? Cool right?!
6/10/2014 04:50:03 pm
It would be funnier if the Nostalgia Critic turned up as the anti-Christ.
6/8/2014 10:58:39 am
Looking forward to the next episode following the Rick Head where it turns out Dave is a genuinely nice guy who has to play a huge asshole character because all his other ventures bombed, trapped in a hopeless cycle of hypocrisy and depression.
6/8/2014 11:02:36 am
And now we have the mental image of Sarah taking a bath. I'm going to be thinking about that aaallllll night.
6/8/2014 11:20:18 am
Gotta love the jersey the sports injury critic is wearing. :D
6/8/2014 11:49:55 am
Brad... Dave as The Rickhead is still, IMHO, one of your finest (and that includes funniest) ideas of all time. It's impossible to see anyone else play a parody of those YouTube "ranter" types anywhere close to such a degree of perfection. If there was a Rickhead spin-off on YouTube consisting exclusively of Rickhead rant videos, I would watch every single one of those.
6/8/2014 12:32:30 pm
I love this, so much!
6/8/2014 11:24:35 pm
I loved that video.
6/8/2014 12:45:10 pm
Is Andy based on anyone in particular?
Not Brad's Mom
6/8/2014 01:35:12 pm
I absolutely loved your segment on the Reviewers. I'm so glad to see it being continued and hoping this show becomes a regular feature on this site. Mad love and respect to you and all of your friends/performers. All of you are doing fantastic work. And Brad, your writing just keeps getting better with every endeavor. Don't ever stop.
6/8/2014 02:10:13 pm
Messiah's basement is for real!
6/8/2014 02:48:41 pm
6/8/2014 05:06:56 pm
Does Josh know that Linkara stole his show idea?
6/8/2014 06:50:12 pm
Yay for another episode, but I duno, it just doesn't seem as funny as the last one. I watched the last one probably 4 or 5 times, but with this one once was enough.
This is fantastic! And so well-timed, I'd dare say it was planned. ~.^
6/9/2014 03:06:45 am
"...as the possessor of a vagina. (Possibly attached to my body, even!)"
6/8/2014 10:50:05 pm
Loved it, absolutely loved it. Brad looks like the kinda guy I would love getting my drugs from, I really really like the editing (sharp and perfectly on time; this is something that a lot of internet content creators cannot do and it kills their work for me) and the writing, well, it is exactly what I expected from a SG production.
6/8/2014 11:49:46 pm
Maybe I just had to high expectations for this, because I’ve been looking forward to a new episode, but I didn’t think it was that funny. It felt like you tried to cram too much exposition, half-baked jokes and other minor characters into this episode.
6/9/2014 02:21:56 am
The Sports Injury Critic and The Modern Movie Cynics aren't really minor characters, they're just quick fake shows within the show, like Count Thomas Howell's and Space Lancer Steve's show. Future episodes probably won't even show those other shows, as there will be other fake shows the characters will be watching. Not all the time, but every now and then to show this particular world of videos.
6/9/2014 02:47:52 pm
Oh, I can see it now:
6/9/2014 06:35:32 pm
They did a critic critic, his name was project million, the less talked about him the better
6/10/2014 08:30:34 am
The critic critic would be genious and i would like Welshy to play him he would be perfect for the role.
6/9/2014 12:07:53 am
This show-me's must be horrible to work at if it's worse than taking a bullet according to the narrator.
6/9/2014 12:53:54 am
Why are you acting like children? Seems like Sarah (SARAH!! /Snow) is their MOTHER instead of a roommate or whatever...
6/9/2014 01:01:37 am
Interesting you feel that way about The Messiah's speaking, seeing how you couldn't hear any of his lines since they were muted stock footage with voice over narration over it.
6/9/2014 01:21:58 am
If you knew what this was satirizing, you'd know exactly why they behave either arrogant or like children. Andy's character is pretty much Kyle Kallgren's twitter account come to life, and the Michelle character appears to represent one of the HR people at Channel Awesome (I can't remember her name), going by some of the behind the scenes stories from the anniversary films.
6/9/2014 05:04:02 am
Huh. I thought Brad didn't get involved in all that TGWTG drama. Lived through it, sure, but he always seemed more adult than most of the rest of them. I haven't watched this yet, though, so I might be taking your post too seriously.
6/9/2014 05:07:09 am
@Lothos You should really watch it, because it could be open to interpretation on who is based on who, as Brad has never said who the characters are based on. It is however a very good satire of Internet Reviewers and comes across less mean spiritied and just Brad having some fun at the expense of his own occupation.
6/9/2014 10:29:06 am
LOL Black Pete simultaneously gets the point and completely misses it. Though it's not surprising he identifies most with The Rickhead.
6/9/2014 12:55:00 am
AND FIRE THAT CAMERAMAN/WOMAN!!!
6/9/2014 12:57:11 am
Congratulations on seeing your first thing I directed =)
6/9/2014 05:54:53 am
Wait... That kind of camera work is a conscious stylistic choice by you as a director? Wow... I love your stuff, but that's horrible.
6/9/2014 06:01:40 am
Conscious stylistic choice? Not really, that's a bit of an over exaggeration, I wouldn't go that far. My point is that the stuff I've directed all look like they're from a SOV director because they are. They all don't look that radically different from each other. Look at this and Hooker with a Heart of Gold, and you can pretty easily tell I directed both.
6/9/2014 10:00:54 am
Not knocking you ,I can't take a pic with my phone without it coming out blurry. When I saw this thing I thought it looked AWESOME, until I saw the price.
6/9/2014 10:20:35 am
6/9/2014 01:13:57 am
Great Show. This episode played up the drama more than the comedy, but those cameos were hilarious.
6/9/2014 06:46:50 am
You can never go wrong with Scott (Josh Headly's awesome calm smooth co-host on Lost in the Static is the narrator here).
6/9/2014 08:05:47 am
so, since this is incorporating the reviewaverse concept will we be seeing matt burkett (apollo Z. Hack i think the creator of the terms) in a future episode? that would be awesome.
6/9/2014 11:55:04 am
"The Marquis D'onofrio."
6/9/2014 03:39:18 pm
So we killed off Jerrid... again?
6/9/2014 04:47:14 pm
I'm glad to see these characters again! Keep 'em coming!
6/9/2014 10:29:50 pm
Wait, did Count Thomas Howell just commit diablerie?
6/10/2014 02:38:12 am
I really hope you keep this show going. It's really well done and is a fresh take on, well, pretty much the entire concept of Internet entertainment.
6/10/2014 05:24:11 am
This was really good. Love the new "Big Lebowski" style narrator, and the "Reality Bites"-esque tone. And any new Rickhead brings instant rewatch potential. Can't wait to see this continue.
Herman the German
6/10/2014 08:22:41 am
I don't usually comment on your stuff, because quality speaks for itself, but I feel strongly about commenting on this though; not because there is a lack of quality, but because I feel the need to encourage you in doing stuff like this.
6/10/2014 05:05:01 pm
Count Thomas Howell makes me think of Count Di-Amon from Bastard!! as played by Linkara's Halloween vampire reviewer character.
LordKat's a dick
6/10/2014 05:31:08 pm
Why is LordKat advertising "I Jerked Off in Brads Ear" on the side of the page?
6/11/2014 01:53:58 am
I would say "Because LordKat is a horrible disgrace of a human being." but in this case it is because he is an idiot. He's essentially paying Brad to insult Brad when he can do it for free.
6/10/2014 05:44:19 pm
Loved it, LOVED IT!
6/11/2014 04:57:18 am
It's about damn time. The Jonesiverse is a hell of a thing to behold.
6/11/2014 06:00:58 am
Good job Brad! I really liked the first episode from The Uncanny Valley. I didn't even know this was planned as series. I really look forward to watching next episodes.
6/11/2014 03:50:47 pm
Hey all, Scott the narrator here.
edward douglas martinson
6/13/2014 01:47:43 am
I would watch the shit out of The Rickhead.
6/14/2014 05:18:22 pm
Can't wait till the episode where Jeff finds out another reviewer played Space Lancer Steve in a throwaway gag in a crossover.
7/12/2014 10:37:14 pm
Hah, oh that Cinema Sins dig
7/27/2014 12:16:02 pm
Narrator is excellent
I really liked this episode (and the first is very strong as well), mainly due to how deeply Andy and Jeff are entrenched in their characters that they've developed back stories as rationalizations for what they themselves need in the real world. Keep up the great work everyone involved! Thanks for another awesome show.

"The Reviewers" is a new show written and directed by Brad Jones. Andy (Brian Lewis) and Jeff (Jake Norvell) are two down on their luck roommates who decide their best possible career choice is to be Internet Reviewers. Only problem is, they're broke, have no skills, and have no fans. The pilot episode was a featured short as part of "The Uncanny Valley" - The 5th Anniversary movie from ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com.
