This is one of those weird episodes where you have the appearance of 2009 Snob, but the everything else of late 2010 to early 2013 Snob.
It's weird, at times I hear the voice and humor of a 2009 snob episode, at other times your voice deepens and I hear the voice and humor of a 2011-2013 Snob episode: it's almost like both the 2013 snob and the 2009 snob are both in the same episode, simultaneously reviewing it together because one of them traveled through time. Not to mention the fact that the Snob acts dark and sadistic like the 2009 snob at times (for instance from 2:00 to 2:17). but at other times he acts like the 2013 Snob when he just throws jokes at the film (for instance, from 2:35 to 2:55)
This is a very weird episode. And a very "What the fuck" movie. I'm honestly confused by this episodes atmosphere; imagine being engulfed in a black fog, while hearing the voices of a thousand star wars stormtroopers all around you talking about bad movies while the ambient sound of the Lavender Town Theme can be heard far in the distance. That's how strange and discomfort this episode is to me as a fan of the snob.
Seriously, is there some dark disturbing truth behind this episode? I get the feeling there is something very disturbing not only behind the movie that is being reviewed, but also the review itself... something just doesn't feel right about either one... maybe it's just late.
*exhale* the good old days when Brad used the Greatest American Hero theme to open his videos, don't get me wrong I still love his videos and I always preferred him over Doug (especially now) but it's because of him that every time I hear that theme I think of Z rated Horror and Exploitation films and I thank him everyday for that.
As I understand it, he wanted to keep using it, but the people who own The Greatest American Hero told him to stop.
I wonder how much they would charge for the rights because I'm sure a lot of fans would toss in a couple of bucks to get the song back. I know I would.
1:06- "Oh, don't you talk about my boxes! I LIKE BOXES!"
2:48- I wish this WAS a live action movie of The PowerPuff Girls, and it would be a GOOD live action movie based on a cartoon series.
9:17- That is one of the most fuckin' funniest things I had ever heard in my life.
12:03- Not even the writers of Furious 7 were THIS lazy during the rewrites after Paul Walker's death, and that movie turned out to be really, really good at the end.
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
