Anyone who thinks Henry Cavill is worse than this guy needs a chunk of kryptonite shoved up their aah-Hey, Brad!
This was bad, but it does have one huge plus going for it.
It's not Man Of Steel.
Gee, thank you so much for saying one of the most overstated things people have said about Man of Steel. GET OVER IT!
Man of Steel is not that bad. its not perfect, and there are probably some things that could've been toned down a bit, but there was a grand epic feel to the mythology that felt new, particularly with the Kryptonians, and Zod, and I liked the approach to Clark being unsure of himself and trying to find his place in the world, its almost a more cinematic take on the very ideas brought up during the TV series 'Smallville'.
also, I really liked the imagery of being actual devastating consequences to Superman's actions, in that more destruction is wrought on the city of Metropolis and even in Smallville Kansas, as he attempts to stop WORLDWIDE destruction because of Zod.
I do like the approach being taken for the DCCU, and how this will be explored further in the upcoming Batman v Superman.
Kenneth Mars?! What are you doing here?!
Superman The Animated Series did a great job with Superman, they did an even better job with Lex Luthor: making Luthor a black guy was the best decision ever. Luthor was way cooler as a rich black guy than he was in any of the superman movies.
STAS Luthor wasn't black; he was Mediterranean (influenced by Telly Savalas)
yeah everyone tells me the same thing, I just always thought he was black.
Still, the orange fuzzy haired Luthor they got in the original movies just doesn't look anywhere near as badass as the Luthor from the animated series.
The actor who played the voice of Lex Luthor in Superman TAS and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited was Clancy Brown, aka The Krugan from Highlander. He also played Lex Luthor in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Lego Batman 2 & 3, and The Batman.
Ummm, Lex Luthor wasn't black, he was voiced by a black guy, but Lex Luthor wasn't black.
Also what's wrong with Five For Fighting? Last time I checked it's really fun to listen to them while playing extremely gory video games.
It's called having a different opinion, Mr. Rhody. We don't ALL have to like the same stuff Brad does. I sure as hell don't, nor do I condemn him or his views.
hey it's cool bro, he said that NCIS sucks, and THAT I can agree on.
Hey man, it's cool. I didn't mean to act all dickish man. I was just saying brah, I love Five For Fighting.
Also hey, one of the basic things you gotta know about this show, is that The Cinema Snob and Brad Jones have two very different viewpoints when it comes to liking things.
I'm sorry that I sounded rude...
Hey it's cool Brah. I didn't mean to sound like a dick... I just wanted to show some love for Five For Fighting.
Also I agree. Also, like Brad, I too think that NCIS sucks.
*name change, sorry for extremely belated reply*
No problems here, Rho. As for your insistent hatred for NCIS well, you're free to like/dislike anything so, yeah whatever. Only thing I liked about NCIS was Abby =)
Also, David Wayne was hilarious as Walter Bedecker in the Twilight Zone episode "Escape Claus", & lastly the ONLY thing about this that's better than MoS is the costume's bright colors!
Whoever says that this is better than Man of Steel is a freakin' idiot, and here's why:
1. The acting in Man of Steel isn't as campy and corny as it is here.
2. The effects don't look like they belong on a PBS Kids show.
3. IT'S NOT A FUCKIN' MUSICAL!
No "Hot Lips" Houlihan reference??
The M*A*S*H fan in me disapproves!
Oh my god, Harvey Lembeck! Hey, where's the Purple Flower Gang?
It's kind of odd to hear Kenneth Mars not doing a German accent for once.
What's with all the double edits in the opening sequence? Did Brad run out of footage to use or something?
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
