From the moment I found out the Snob was doing Sasquatch week, I KNEW he'd be doing one of the Boggy Creek movies. This makes my night. Thanks, Brad!
I hope we get all the folksy tunes with this one.
No! Not Cinema Bum!
Guess he'll be asking for change in heaven with the Spoony Bum now... *sniff*
If I liked Pod People, I'm sure I'll like this one as well.
Wait a minute! How did Travis Crabtree survived Spoony's wrath? I guess he ran faster than we thought!
soooooooo the sequel to this, return to boggy creek, of which you have a poster? yeahhhhhhhhhh......... I was born in the town it was filmed in. and my grandfather was the ambulance driver at the end. so if you wanna see where it was made go to new iberia, louisiana I guess.
You born in the Berry? Well if you're going into Laffy, you better get a New Iberia hair cut baw :)
It's like my pappy always, a quarter of the cast o '80s Dan is better than no '80s Dan cast at all.
Ahh, why didn't I guess this one would be last? At least now I can proudly say I've seen 4 out of the 5 picks for Sasquatch Week!
...my God, what have I done with my life...? :[
That Travis Crabtree sketch was GOLD!
Plus... Snobception continues.
I've waited for Brad to chew on this one...hoooboy, here we gooooo~!!!11 %)
YEEEEAAAAH !!!! 5 videos in a week, brad you're what every good man aspire to be, we're not worthy... now make a new 80's Dan and finish Shot on Shitteo.
Where's your patreon Brad, I gladly give 2$ a month and if every snob fan are willing to do the same, you can make a good seventy-four dollar a month. Mo money, Mo candy as they say
With a special guest cameo by Lloyd!
You know, Brad is a greatly gifted director/screenwriter/cinematographer but seriously? No blood on Travis' golf club as he walked away? I refuse to believe that Team Snob didn't have a tube of fake blood just lying around somewhere. They're filming "Shot on Shitio" of God's sake! Very Poor Sir
(This was sarcasm in case anyone couldn't tell)
Was that sarcasm ?
Yes. Nobody says "Sir" seriously on the internet.
ya man. you need help
Well, another week-long marathon has come & gone.
Damn, I was hoping for 2006's Yeti: A Gay Love Story by Troma.
That's a shockingly good movie (I even donated to the Kickstarter for the sequel), but, alas, the Snob's cut-off date is 1995.
For me, it was just a standard Troma movie. I'll have to rewatch it when the sequel comes out.
He's done Mother's Day and Return to Sleepaway Camp, and both of those were well after 1995, so I think it'd be OK.
He's said before that he'd do something after 1995 only if it's a sequel or remake to something he's already done, which explains Mother's Day and Return to Sleepaway Camp.
Oh snap, Travis Crabtree has snapped!!
You ruined a perfectly good tree pun. Next time leaf it alone so you don't get stumped and make an ash of yourself.
The Cinema Bum survived that attack. Don't believe me, look at my name.
nice Hall and Oates joke Brad
Damn, does that narrator ever sound like Phil Hartman doing an SNL commercial.
I knew you would do Boggy Creek! Always end something at the top, whether it be a career or a series of movies/TV shows. That's my motto. Too bad most people don't follow that motto, but you did.
Holy shit. The Travis Crabtree part is probably the funniest thing I've seen in weeks. Who knew that Travis was a Manchurian Candidate.
According to my mama and her brother, they learned first-hand at their grandfather's that squirrel is actually pretty good. Yes, it was Mississippi in the 1950s, but not even out in the sticks; Jackson's a good-sized city.
I need to see this one, it has a surprisingly good reputation. I've only seen the MST3K version of the official sequel, which even they admitted was better than a lot of films they'd seen, including that the monster was pretty good.
"I ain't never seen or heard no monster...now let me get back to singing about that niiiiiight traaaaain...to MunDO FIIIIINEEEEEE..."
The musical golf club murdering scene had me in stitches XD
You did a whole week of bigfoot movies, and you skipped Night of the Demon?! For shame, Snob.
Hmmm....another Drive In movie. I remember this one (I grew up in Oregon), so once it got scary, my date got closer and closer. :)
It was a great date, but that night when I got home (in the dark and mountainous area of Oregon) I was a bit freaked out and scared walking in the dark to my house.
So '80s Dan and The Cinema Snob exist in the same universe. Interesting...
That's always been the case. 80's Dan made his first appearance in a Cinema Snob episode, and The Cinema Snob has showed up in a few 80's Dan episodes.
Uh... I haven't watched a lot of episodes of 80s Dan – is there one that explains why Travis reacts like this when "his" song is played?
Anyway: 11:23 onwards: Oh shit... That look on his face. That's kind of disturbing. I guess there's another type of mode Brian can pull off aside from the typical Brian Lewis role.
Brad, is this a true widescreen version of the movie? If so, would you tell me who released it? The flick's never going to look sterling, but I'd at least like to avoid pan and scan, which seems to be all that's offered on the market, regardless of what's promised in the product description. (If anyone else knows of a good quality copy, please let me know.) Thanx.
I think Travis has PTSD that sends him into a fuge state whenever his theme song plays...
Such a tragic character.
Brian LP discs should be stored side up, not down to it's side, it makes them all wonky and crap. Please save your LPs.
I've seen pretty much everything Brad has done on this site, and I don't remember the original of Travis Crabtree. I've seen him in others, but don't remember how the running gag started. Which video was it?
Travis Crabtree is a character in the 80's Dan videos. Not sure if there's much of a running gag.
Dear Cinema Snob,
I'm shocked and disgusted to hear you make fun of random accidents. I myself have to dodge axes while driving cars at least twice a week and don't find it funny in the slightest.
You need to include 'Night of the Demon' (1980)
YES!!!! You made a "True Detective" reference!!! I don't know if you watch it, but I'm happy.........
I can imagine the guy getting in a boating accident, and getting knocked unconscious. An hour later some police officers show up and try to help him up, but there was a snake slittering really close to the guy's leg, so the deputy pulled out his shotgun and shot at the snake; only to also blow off the guys leg. The sudden pain woke him up, after a painful ride in the police car they finally got him to the hospital, where he stayed for several days. The deputy who shot off his leg apologized in court.
Go away Trumpy we can't be friends anymore. Ha Pod people that WTF ending that made me cry
Oh please review "The Town that Dreaded Sundown" someday! You sure do reference it a lot. . .
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
