I can't wait for this! I'ts already past my bedtime.
The Snob had won a victory over himself. He loved shot on shitteo.
damn it blip, get your shit together
I wouldn't be too shocked by Fat Grandma's sassy personality Brad! Her knack for sassy humor works wonders than any of the Madea movies.
I LOL'ed at the Romeo & Juliet music!
Is "Riding The Bus With My Sister" a Yeti movie?
Well....You could always showcase "Snowbeast" --a 1977 made-for-TV movie that's public domain and not quite as 'special' as these movies have been. Kinda.
Poor Louis.... greatness doesn't always come easy :)
Ugh... Snowbeast is awful. The GeekJuice people riffed that one a while back on LNG.
Don't say "Geek juice" during Sassquatch Week... it implies unpleasant things.
Oh Fat Grandma, you're so senile. Everyone knows you stuff strawberry pancakes with cream cheese and pickled asparagus.
Could be worst, you could be watching My little pony. Is it true Jilian is in to that since (after being forced to watch several episodes while babysitting my nieces) I cannot fathom what any semi-rational adult sees here.
For the record, it's like watching a shitty slice of life anime...minus the tits.
Wow, that's...really kind of a random and unprovoked rant, but Brad and Jake already reviewed 'Equestria Girls', so I assume they're quite familiar with it.
Yeah, it was terribly random wasn't it?
'Now let's go to the kitchen, and deep-fry us some sass!'
Poetry in motion.
Linkara/Fat Grandma has a whole new layer in this movie where Leroy plays his own fat grandma.
Fat Grandma is by far the best thing Linkara has ever done. It's so good, I doubt it was his idea to begin with.
Since I'm a fat guy, allow me to make the jokes for you. I'll even use the one I use for myself when I enter someone's vehicle:
"Careful now, I gotta get in real slow, or else this thing's gonna go Flintstones on us!"
There, job is done! ...but what the Hell was up with the Deus Ex cyberpunk music that played whenever he walked? What, is he looking around for orange sodas and multitools to loot?
Incidentally, sweet Patrick Nagel shirt there, Brad! I should get that tattooed to my torso. "I'm on loan from The Louvre".
What is that fantastic intro music?
Speaking of smell-o-vision, you ever gonna snob "Scent of Mystery"? I read the production quality is about as shitty as this movie.
I hope he's saved Suburban Sasquatch for last. I've loved that movie ever since I saw it on Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum on iMockery (RIP Doc Mock).
Does Jake's schtick extent to kids movies or just animated movies? I was listening to a podcast and a person on it mentioned they were filming "jingle all the way 2" with getRdun himself. Is that a Jake movie?
Indeed i have become my own entity, snob, indeed i have.
Featuring music by Atari.
That title card is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Something about Brad in any sort of relaxation like he's Huckleberry Finn is hilarious.
Fat Grandma the Queen of Sass and blue berry pancakes. Mmmm-hmmm =3
If you're making a movie to advertise a ranch in Michigan... why would you then proceed to have everyone in the movie speak in stereotypical hick southern accents?
Did they pilfer the soundtrack exclusively from commodore 64 games?
There is a legitimate Big Foot Museum in Felton California, This is way out in the mountains and no where near Los Angeles or San Francisco. There is also a website but you will have to find that on your own.
I think Fat Grandma and Admiral Crackers would make a good couple.
The main character looks like the fat guy from Leprechaun
Don't forget about "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", "Teen Wolf" & "Gacy".
Sasquatch week has been the highlight of my week. No, my life. And it's not even over.
Very funny episode. Not much else to say other then keep up the good work.
Ahhh, this movie rocks! I bought a copy a few years back (yes, it's more or less officially on DVD) when it was featured on VHS Shitfest. It's just dopey fun, but honestly, shoot anything on VHS and I'll consider it brilliant.
So far I'm 2 for 5 on Sasquatch Week (3 for 5 if I count the Rifftrax version of 'Curse of Bigfoot'). Can't wait to see what the last one turns out to be. :D
...Am I just not getting it? The whole Fat Grandma thing. Doug, Lupa & Phelous, Brad, etc. What is so funny about this character? Is it that she's such a pit of anti-humor, it's funny? Please, I really mean it: am I missing something here, some motherload of comedy that is Linkara in drag?
But otherwise, the review was alright. At least watching the clips wasn't as painful as the ones from To Catch A Yeti were.
The joke is that it's a white guy doing a bad impression of a black stereotype played by a black actor. It has layers to it. I haven't seen a Madea movie, but I can only assume based on what Dave and Brian have to say that Linkara is much funnier than Tyler Perry.
I'm pretty sure it's just Lewis doing Madea. Which isn't funny, but Lewis isn't funny so that's not much of a surprise. It's still probably better than Tyler Perry doing Madea.
Morhek has it right.
Within the context of this video alone, it's probably not funny at all if you don't know who Fat Grandma is.
But in the video, it's funny because the dude in the movie is playing a character similar to Fat Grandma, and she (who is Linkara) is talking to Linkara, and Brad is watching it.
The "meta"-ness is part the joke.
Of course if you have to explain the joke, it's not funny to those who don't "get" it.
Fat Grandma is just a parody of Madea and the character itself is entertaining (to some people).
So the joke is that it's a Madea parody? ...Really? This one note joke has enough staying power to last over a year and several videos? Because the Cinema Bum had more depth to it than Fat Grandma.
How does a Madea parody fit into a free-online made for cheap "movie" about a Time Machine Gotten At A Yard Sale? Because, yeah, there's a bit of context here. But in the other appearances?
I don't know, I haven't seen every Fat Grandma appearance.
But it's just a character.
I think you're trying to find something that isn't there.
If you don't think it's funny, cool.
Brad, I really don't think you gave To Catch a Yeti a fair chance.
Come on. Let To Catch a Yeti into your heart.
Eh, any movie that uses commodore 64 music in it's soundtrack is OK in my book.
Hey Brad, did you ever see Bobcat Goldthwait's "Willow Creek"?
Omg, Brad. The horse voice killed me.
Shot on Shiteo is always worth the wait.
PS: the titlecard for this one was the most awesome in a while. Dont get me wrong: they are always good, this time it was just as awesome as VHS (which again is a very subjective thing..... just like art)
Hey Brad? Ever heard of a Shitteo film called "Nikos the Impaler"? It's another movie made by your old enemy: Andreas Schnaas. You're not going to believe what its alternate title is. It's "Violent Shit 4". Yes, there are two "Violent Shit 4"s. Just throwing that out there. Have a nice day. :D
I'm going to be pretty disappointed if the final review turns out to be Harry and the Hendersons, I remember enjoying that movie so I'm not sure how well that would translate to a Snob episode.
Dat N64 controller behind Luis excellent taste sir.
Wow, gay Linkara. His boy/girl/whatever friend is even uglier than bigfoot. Or did he give up on his man whore, Iron Liz, for the Black River Monster?
I love your legacy to the world linkara
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
