Horror movies and synthesizers: a match made in hell!
Tell that to John Carpenter.
The old movie is okay but the remake is pretty good. POV shot from the killer is pretty disturbing.
Indeed sir, I think the remake is a tad better, & I hate remakes!
I demand Elijah Wood play more villains, perhaps a demented version of the Riddler?
The original's still awesome, as is this episode!
...my Sarcasm Detector is reaching astronomical levels...
You know what sucks about this & the remake? Both Spinell & Wood are so good at being the vicious killer as well as a sympathetic victim. Yes the original is better, but Elijah makes the new one just as intriguing. Why couldn't they cast a lesser actor to play the villain? Then it'd be forgettable like the Platinum Dupes remakes were. . . in my opinion.
Also, I've seen Henry & frankly I was underwhelmed. Maybe because it was based (loosely) on a real life serial killer it was so acclaimed by "professional" critics?
Then again, there has yet to be a remake of Henry so I guess isn't THAT good . . .
I just love this movie. One of the best horror movies in my opinion.
isnt that guy the same that played the mafia guy in rocky 1?
What kind of broom sticks were these 1980 movie critics, like Gene Siskel, shoved up their ass to be so negative about a serial killer movie? Thank you very much, Brad, for making fun of these pretentious snootballs of critics who hate violent movies with violence and dark slasher movie that aren't uplifting.
Hmm, seems the video won't play anymore. I just get a "crossdomain access denied" error.
What song is playing during the opening credits of this video?
This is still one of my all time favorite episodes of The Cinema Snob
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
