thanks brad i'v;e been dying to see this get snobbed for years!
literally or metaphorically
Oh, God, we're up to this one? Does that mean you'll next be doing H2O and Resurrection, aka the other two sequels that Zombie's Halloween 2 is still better than?
Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 better than H20 & Resurrection? um.....no. no, no, no no no no no. Halloween H20 is far better than Rob Zombie's pile of trash, and Resurrection is even worse. hell, I think Resurrection is the worst of the entire series. sure the remake series isn't good either, but it's not as bad as a movie that is dumb, obnoxious, clichéd even for the early 2000's, and much like a bunch of the horror films at the time, was pushing rather hard for that urban market. even Halloween 6 for all it's flaws, it still has a better version of the film and it still has some good things going for it. the one and only thing that save Resurrection is Busta Rhymes yelling at Michael Myers, dressed as Michael Myers. and even he is still one of the biggest offenders. not even LL Cool J went that far, and he was a much better actor/character than Busta Rhymes. I know people tend to say "pick your poison", and yeah I'll watch all of these films regardless, but I can't defend Rob Zombie's remake films, nor can I defend Resurrection. Halloween 5 is rushed, Halloween 6 is flawed by still interesting, H20 is also flawed but is still satisfying (and the real conclusion in my eyes, Resurrection is just an alternate, non canon, bad ending), to me, it's the 2 Rob Zombie films and Resurrection that I just can't stand. but, again, that's just the way I see it.
tl;dr. Edit, man, edit!
there is no edit button. also, here's some advice. maybe instead of complaining about how long the comment is, complain about the context of the comment instead. you know, more important things to get upset about. not the little stuff that makes no difference, and I'm sure some of you are guilty of doing on this site more than once. prove me wrong.
A talking dog movie next week? No way, give me more Drunk Brian singing Meat Loaf songs!
Also, that's not good enough Paul! This is how you say the line!
Between Daniel Farrends and Adam Marcus (aka jerkoff who gave us The Hidden 3: Jason Goes to Hell), I don't how either could come up with overly complicated concepts to franchises with the most basic of plots. They must've been smoking the same pot from the same bong that day to think that what they did was in anyway shape or form good. Still this film isn't nearly as bad as that miserable excuse for a "film" that's so bad it's retarded called Jason Goes to Hell The Final Bullshit. Seriously FUCK THAT MOVIE.
well, you're welcome to your opinions, but I disagree. I actually liked Jason Goes To Hell, and I know it's pretty bad. however, to be perfectly honest, none of the Friday The 13th films are particularly good. and between Halloween 6 & Jason Goes To Hell vs most of today's modern horror films, I'll gladly watch those 2 films. cause at least you remember those films, and at least I can have fun with them. it's still far better & vastly superior to Oujia, Annabelle, The Pyramid, See No Evil, Man-Thing, The Gingerdead Man films, Silent Hill Revelations, Hellraiser Revelations, Leprechaun Origins, The Thing 2011, Alien Vs Predator Requiem, Feardotcom, Smiley, The Forest, & many others I haven't mentioned. even the worst 90's horror film is still better than the worst 2010's horror film. but hey, that's just my opinion. agree or disagree, that's up to you.
"you're welcome to your opinions" but if someone says something you disagree with, they're about to get a really really long paragraph about it!
"Gans" - funny how you think that I'm being too serious just because I write a response that's not short. cause I guess in your eyes, I'm the only person who does that on this site. even though my comments were at least on topic, and not an overly long blog post talking about some random relationship issues or casting spells. cause I guess you're ok with those comments. half the time, I get the feeling like some of you take my comments out of context and just jump to conclusions without reading anything I posted. long or short, I'm just giving my opinion. given the context of your response, you're the one who can't just agree or disagree with it.
Too true. Gans stating that your rebuttals are unnecessarily long must automatically mean that he's ok with the spam posts. Because that wouldn't have been off topic at all if he suddenly started talking about the spell caster comments.
And of course you responded to Gans with another overly long and rambly post.
oh, so it's not ok when I do it but it's ok when other people do it? that's rather hypocritical. ok, so I make a paragraph long comment. so what? how does that affect you? and how in the hell does that automatically mean that I'm rambling? and here you two go defending this guys comments being condescending someone else just for having an opinion. overall, what exactly does this pointless argument accomplish? nothing. absolutely nothing.
what I'm doing is not something that you people should be complaining about. if you seriously want to go down that road, then why don't you take your complaints to actual spammed comments that are far longer than mine. like Maria Alexander, Mary Castrol, mariaalexander, Sarah, or countless other people whose comments are technically something worth complaining about. not some random asshole who was actually trying to be on topic & not ranting & raving like a lunatic like some other people on this site.
Jesus Christ, you're whinier than Trump when he loses a debate! We do poke fun at the spam comments, you jackass. Holy shit, I've rarely seen such a childish tirade in these comments in years.
yeah, the theatrical cut of this movie is god awful. I tend to call it Halloween 6 The BOOM Of Michael Myers, due to the terrible editing and extremely loud bangs they used throughout the film. the Producer's Cut is actually not that bad, and I would go as far to say that it's one of the better sequels in the series. it's still no where near as good as the original, Part 2, H20, or even Part 4, but it's still far better than Part 5, the theatrical cut of this film, the 2 Rob Zombie films, and the worst of the series, Resurrection. it has it's flaws and it does have it's fair share of problems, but it's still better than the other sequels I just mentioned. at least, in my opinion that is. if nothing else, then at least the Halloween 6 The Producer's Cut is still far better than 90% of today's modern horror films.
on a side note, I actually have the Trick Or Treat Studios Halloween 6 mask, and it's actually well made. it's one of the most comfortable masks I've ever worn, and it certainly made Halloween last year quite memorable. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a high quality Michael Myers mask for an affordable price.
Rowsdower reference - fist bump, brah!
A Talking Slasher?!
they do exist. there's a lot of slasher films from the 80's, 90's, & 2000's that some people have never heard of. one such classic is Urban Legend. remember Virus, what a wonderful role for Jamie Lee Curtis. we also cannot forget the role that put Jon Stewart on the map, The Faculty. and there's also the memorable creature feature Bats, as well as the emotional horror/romance of Valentine. everyone remembers Teaching Mrs. Tingle, An American Werewolf In Paris, Sleepwalkers, Shocker, Lawnmower Man 2 Beyond Cyberspace, Dracula 2000, and Omen IV Awakening. (see, I can joke too)
Dude he was just referencing A Talking Cat, stop taking every comment so seriously.
"stop taking every comment so seriously" I wasn't. also, stop thinking that I take every single comment on this site seriously. you would know this, if you actually read my comments and not take it out of context.
A dude simply makes a lighthearted reference to A Talking Cat, and you go on a long paragraph detailing how there are in fact talking slashers, as if the guy was literally shocked at the concept. Yep, totally not taking the original comment too serious at all...
once again, you're taking my comments out of context. how am I suppose to take your argument seriously when you don't read what I said. at the end of my comment, I said the following: (see, I can joke too)
at no point in that entire comment was I being serious. for fuck sakes, get a life and stop worrying about what I'm saying or how long the response is. just like the other people above, nothing I'm doing should be considered a bad thing. it just sounds to me like you & the other people above are just trying to find something to complain about, even though there's nothing wrong with what I said.
and to be honest, it's kind of hypocritical when you people complain about what I'm doing/saying even though you don't seem to have a problem when other people do the exact same thing that you're accusing me of.
The dude you're talking to only put in his two cents once, and did it rather calmly as well. Meanwhile you practically write a novel anytime someone says something you disagree with, and then you lose your shit if they criticize you. I'm not sure it's them who needs to get a life.
Leave it to EpicJason to reply to a 3 worded question with a long-ass rant.
JayRam - leave it to yet one more person keeping this pointless argument going even further, stating the obvious, and adding nothing new to the conversation that hasn't already been said. seriously, just drop it. now, if you don't mind, I'm done with this conversation.
Jason, grow up. No one is asking you to leave. But it would be nice if you weren't this page's version of Donald Trump going on a twitter tirade because someone said something he didn't like. In the future, a simple "you didn't see the context, here's the context" would work just fine, and leave the insults, the victim cards, and the long ass tirades at the door.
the changes they make to the theatrical version are so strange. a lot less Loomis, less moody music, completely changing the tone of that confrontation between loomis and the cultist toward the end, less explanation as to why Michael is a serial killer...
i watched both versions side by side one day and it was pretty amusing. like it wasn't enough in the producers cut that someone get stuck to the wall with a knife, no no no, michael needs to stab the guy and LIFT HIM UP WITH THE KNIFE, pin him to the wall, and have him get electrocuted until his head explodes like in Scanners.
that part with the seemingly removed dialogue is something i can't figure out at all.
A talking dog for next week you say? Will the Snob review a Tequila Halloween episode or will we finally see Doctor James Dobsen's planned parenthood guide?
What about that Sherlock Holmes dog movie thing that was previously mentioned?
I can have a good laugh like everyone else. I do have a sense of humor, unlike Gary & Phil from Deception Of A Generation, or Jeff from Rock It's Your Decision. and it's perfectly fine to have a different opinion that some may or may not agree with regardless on how short or long the comment is. don't like my opinion, that's fine. you don't have to agree with me, no one is forcing you to. but for those who think that I literally just take every single comment on this site too seriously and that I have no right to my own opinion, well, this one's for you - https://youtu.be/3ld3imEfpZU?t=4s
Quit playing the victim card. No one here told you you don't have the right to your opinion, nor did they tell you to stop posting. If you're free to make any post you want, others are also free to respond to you, even if what they say upsets you.
I'm not upset with what they're saying, and I'm not playing the victim card. at no point do I want people to feel sorry for what I'm posting. I get it that people are open to their opinions, but this isn't about people disagreeing with my opinions, this is about people taking my comments out of context, complaining about the length of the comment, and acting like a bunch of hypocrites about it. or one guy complaining that I was literally taking every comment seriously, when that wasn't even the case. that's the point I'm trying to make. if it was just about them having a problem with the context of what I'm saying and not about the length of the comment, then I wouldn't have a problem with what they're saying.
You're not upset with what they're saying, yet you're the only one in any of these conversations who keeps flying off the handle anytime someone responds to you.
Also, you complain about people putting words in your mouth, yet you keep assuming that just because they have a problem with your overly long posts, that must automatically mean that they DON'T have a problem with someone else's posts. As if no one is allowed to respond negatively to you unless they also respond negatively to countless other people. Maybe they just simply have a problem with you, and given your incredibly abrasive attitude, I can't imagine why.
I really don't want to keep this going even further, but I must address a couple of things first.
1 - "You're not upset with what they're saying, yet you're the only one in any of these conversations who keeps flying off the handle anytime someone responds to you."
well, what do you want me to do then? no seriously, what would you suggest that would of been the better option? not defend myself? is that how it works with you people? guilty until proven innocent? at no point did any of their response look better by comparison, it's just a bunch of people going back & forth making accusations and making me look bad even though I technically did nothing wrong. I was never being mean or nasty or saying anything that was vulgar. but yet I still get treated like making long comments is the worst thing ever or that a comment I made to a 3 word question was me being serious, when it clearly wasn't. even if I tried to defend myself, even if I wasn't being nasty, they'll still complain about it. it's not like the length of my comments were a problem in the other videos I commented to, so what makes this one any different? that's the question I kept asking, but yet I get treated like I'm the only one who does such a thing on this site.
& 2 - "Also, you complain about people putting words in your mouth, yet you keep assuming that just because they have a problem with your overly long posts, that must automatically mean that they DON'T have a problem with someone else's posts. As if no one is allowed to respond negatively to you unless they also respond negatively to countless other people. Maybe they just simply have a problem with you, and given your incredibly abrasive attitude, I can't imagine why."
if they have a problem with me, then they would of said it by now. I'm not a overly obsessed individual or as hot headed in person. I don't have an abrasive attitude, but you don't know for sure because you don't know me as a person. so, don't even try to go there with that bullshit logic. but whenever someone complains about posting long comments, and then I see a bunchy of long comments on other posts, wouldn't you come to the same conclusion? it's not like the owner of the site made any specific rules claiming that you are now allowed to post long comments, so it's not breaking any rules. and technically, any comment longer than 1 sentence is considered a paragraph. if that's the case, then everyone on this site would be guilty of long posts. but no, apparently, it's just me. even if I was being funny, they claim it as being serious or just ranting. but if I defend myself and try to call out their bullshit & hypocrisy, I'm the bad guy? so, in their logic, posting long comments, being funny, and defending myself is a bad thing? so, it's not ok when I do it, but it's ok when other people do it? maybe no one should be allowed to comment then. how about that? how about having the owner make some rules in how long comments should be made and people being banned for being too negative? how about we just ban having opinions and not say anything? let's just lash out at anyone with a different opinion, for not making short responses, and let's just not be funny anymore.
if you people really want me gone, then just come out and fucking say it already! if that's what you all want, then just say it already, and I will never come back to this site ever again.
Jason. Honey. Stop.
Take a breather bro. No one is attacking you for stating your opinion. They're giving you shit because you're coming across as an overly sensitive and unnecessarily long winded asshole.
And if you want people to see that you're not abrasive and that you don't take things seriously and that you're not hot headed, then having an extremely long and very angry rage post isn't going to help your case at all.
I'm not an overly sensitive person, but I do have my limits. however, at this point, that's irrelevant. it's clear to me that their minds are already made up, and nothing I do or say will convince these people otherwise. so, if I come back, all calm and collective, and I do the same exact thing they keep accuse me of, then the cycle will just repeat itself. showing why I hate being sociable. no matter what I do, no matter what I say, no matter how stupid & ridiculous these fucking arguments are, no matter how hard I try to defend myself for not being this kind of person that they see me as, they will still attack me for it. so, again, the question still stands. do you people want me gone? just come out & say it, and I'll fucking leave this site. you wont see me ever again and you wont have another person to be used as a personal punching bag.
better yet, I'll just do you all a favor & leave. I'm done. thanks for showing me how little my opinions matter.
Good job proving that you're not upset and that you're not playing the victim card by acting like a screaming toddler every time someone responds to you. I hope everyone here has learned a valuable lesson. Jason understands that people are entitled to their opinions, so long as they don't criticize his comment length or hurt his feelings, because if someone does any of those things, he'll run up to his room and slam the door and claim he's never coming back to the dinner table.
wth just happened in the comment section? lol
This is just how people who missed the MySpace craze have to do online melt-downs these days.
Some of the older archived videos of 2009 were brought over from the youtube account before thecinemasnob.com was created, so please forgive the lesser video quality of such as some did not transfer well.
