From the makers of Brad Tries comes Brad Jacks Off on Things...
What sort of things? Well, Swamp Things for starters...
"Snobcast." I approve of this name!
It will always be the Random Button to me!
Finally! I even forgot that Random Button actually existed.
Love the name change as much as I hate this fucking movie.
I honestly DO like a lot of Ulli Lommel movie's Brad, and am happy thy I finally get to hear your thoughts on him, I think Diary of a Cannibal and The Green River Killer are his best. His original Boogeyman was also very good, the sequel (and part 3) are UNWATCHABLE! But I have always had love for him, despite some truly awful movie's he has made.
This movie just had to have a character named Michael Savage. Should I just not use the internet at all because everyone on it is the bad kind of liberal? Should I just not have any people I like of any kind because I like these guys until the political comments that last only two sentences?
Didn't like the Michael Savage comment Brad.
Considering what Michael Savage has said about gay people, and Brad's mom is gay, I think you can live with Brad saying something critical of Michael Savage.
Are you seriously complaining about Brad's brief comment regarding Savage when Savage himself has said so much reprehensible, toxic, irredeemable in the past. This isn't to do with conservatives and liberals at all, it's just to do with the fact that Savage is a fucking horrible person.
Knowing what hateful, gutless tripe Michael Savage has said about gays, immigrants, non-christians and non-whites....and that Brad IS a lib.... as a proud progressive liberal I'd like to cordially invite you to go fuck yourself. The more people -like Brad- who call out against the hate, the better this world gets...
So maybe you should try listening to somone more to your tastes....like Ann Coulter....
If you like vile people like Savage, maybe you should take a step back and wonder why you are "conservative".
I think the real problem with JasSpy ism't so much that everyone on the internet is a bad kind of liberal but rather that he's the bad kind of conservative.
On a much more personal note, apparently blip stopped supporting their XBOX app, which is fucking bullshit. Now I have to resort to other ways to watching videos Brad and others make without having to watch them on a PC. Someone needs to get the train rolling to reverse this stupid decision.
Oh, but you don't smile when someone on the internet takes a potshot at Bill Maher or Rachel Maddow, or otherwise re-enforces your own views? People only seem to want others to keep political opinions to themselves when they're different from their own.
As a cooky Libertarian-Socialist (Yes it's a real ideology--look it up, no it's not an oxymoron) I've grown used to all the people I love online not sharing my views.
Speaking as an atheist, a homosexual, and an anarchist, I think Michael Savage can go fuck a running lawnmower.
In defense of Savage,
(This post is off to a great start, isn't it?)
I don't believe Michael Savage as big of a hate monger people make him out to be if only because the man clearly is not operating with a full set of marbles. He is a very passionate, crazy, ignorant, and even misguided individual but if you actually have listened to his show you know he does have human qualities. He is also a philanthropist who donates thousands of dollars to causes he believes in including animal rights.
The big thing that really not undeservedly tarnished his reputation was at the end of his MSNBC show run when he went on a homophobic tired on a prank caller. Although he apologized for the comments, though in my opinion was an underwhelming one, he has not learned his lesson as he continues to run off the mouth which is his biggest problem.
I do not blame anyone for hating the guy but at the same time I have a degree of sympathy for him. Though not to the point of JasSpy where I want people not to make fun of him as he is pathetic.
*"The big thing that really not undeservedly tarnished..."
"The big thing that deservedly tarnished..."
Don't want to cause any confusion with that double negative. Also "tired" should be "tirade".
Didn't he also suggest that the only reason female students would help out at a homeless shelter was because they enjoyed the excitement of the prospect of being raped? To me that just sums up everything that's wrong with the guy. He can't understand that some people might not be as cynical and twisted as he is and what he can't understand he automatically fears and detests.
Maybe one of the pluses of living in the UK is that Michael Savage is banned from coming here.
Well... Snobcast was a good name ....
I went over to the Netflix roulette website and hit the button. I got
I don't wanna know what that is.
It's probably better than "Frankenhood"...
The show is back and has a new name! I look forward to listening to more episodes.
No matter the name, the message is still the same.
As a resident of (a suburb close to) New York City, I can tell you that when people are arrested, they do NOT get put into moving vans, because there is no place to park them.
In New York, people are walked down the street by police officers, pulling them by the ear, and are delivered to the nearest precinct, which is usually on every other block. Depending on how male, how much melanin your skin contains and how bad your timing is, people range from being beaten "a whole fucking lot" to being beaten "within an inch of their life". Fortunately, the chance of you being arrested is only about 3%, because New York is really big.
Sorry, that was a typo. I meant 43%.
In response to your question about NYPD sometimes they arrest people in semis if they feel like it
The only Ulli Lommel movie I've seen was his Black Dahlia, which pissed me off because I saw it thinking it was the DePalma one, which I really like but I saw Lommel's first and was really confused why it was so wildly different from the book and so bad
I've seen a couple of Lommel movies. Zombie Nation is a good example of how shitty he is. Also, Diary of a Cannibal.
Hey, it's the writer-director I have a massive hateboner for! I'm glad that you're finally talking about this guy.
New name? Does not approve...
As long as this show continues on, I'm glad and hopefully more episodes come. Can you keep the (formerly the random button) at the end of the Snobcast name though?
I skimmed through it on amazon instant video and man it was a lame piece of shit. not just for the production value, but just the basic concept of the film.
for a movie supposedly about mummification it didnt do anything unique or interesting with the concept. he just kills them in bland (and horribly unconvincing) ways and then haphazardly wraps their heads. what is the point? there are so many ways, even with a low budget, you could do this sort of movie better.
if he wrapped them completely and buried them alive in a tomb or something, like real mummies, that would be alot more suspenseful, dark, and unsettling than what he actually did. that would play on tons of people's phobias. maybe you could have a ticking clock element near the end, while the detectives are trying to find and save a victim before they suffocate. that is the least I would expect from a mummification serial killer movie.
since it is clearly a fetishistic film, that idea would have a decent appeal in the bondage community. alot more so than this garbage. simply stabbing them and the wrapping their head afterwards is so uncreative and stupid.
Glad to see this cast is back, no matter the name.
"Produced by Ulli Lommel"
Well, that's all you need to know. No need to listen to the podcast.
...just kidding, this was hilarious. And weirdly enough, earlier today I watching Jowski going insane over "Diary of a Cannibal".
Yar! I'm a pirate!
The thing about Ulli Lommel is that his early German films are well made, well acted. and good examples of 70s arthouse cinema. Adolf and Marlene and The Tenderness of Wolves in particular. He was also a decent actor. I think he just moved to america couldn't really find work, but liked the distraction and has found a way to turn a buck.
Yeah, my favorite show is back! Btw why are the episodes with Sarah are super short?
New name is way better. You should have X on whenever your schedules match up because you two had awesome chemistry on Dawncast.
~the above comment now serves as foreshadowing for a special treat that's coming VERY soon~
I haven't really seen many of Uli Lommel's films, save for some of his old horror stuff and and a couple of those shitty direct-to-video movies he made a few years ago. Naturally, a lot of people like The Boogeyman and it's a genuinely creepy film. The Devonsville Terror is the one I find really intriguing. It isn't necessarily a good movie, but it has this really ominous yet captivating quality to it. Both movies starred his then wife, Suzanna Love. She was a Dupont heiress he was bilking for money, but she did stand out in those roles. Donald Pleasance was great too, even though you could tell they spent one day filming his scenes after principal photography was finished.
Then there's that whole thing with Bill Rebane working as a associate producer on the Devonsville Terror. He performed a Roger Corman maneuver and made the Demons of Ludlow with a bunch of the same actors and locations. Pretty much the same premise, except with a demonically possessed piano. I didn't even know that movie existed until a few years ago, when I saw it on one of those Mill Creek public domain sets.
