Wow, this is actually a very insightful and interesting interview. Thanks for posting this Brad, and allowing us to, in a round about way, pick your brain.
"This shot on sh... shot on Hi-8 tape..." lol! We know what you meant, Brad, we know. Also, I love watching one celebrity interview another. It's surreal. Awesome interview!
You mean you're NOT really a classically trained, pretentious film snob who only watches this shit to torture yourself???
I am shocked and upset.
Anyway, great interview. I hope Doug does more of them with other TGWTG producers. I'd like to know more about what makes a lot of these weird fuckers tick.
I watched this the other day and it's a really interesting interview. Doug asks some good questions and you guys have great chemistry.
I feel so sorry for Doug. He's just getting more and more bald!
He could always pull a Brad and just shave all his hair. Then again Doug would look pretty scary with a bald head.
I didn't know there was a TGWTG charity drive last Fall. Usually they would stream these charity events like the ones I watch in 2009 and 2010!
I saw a good chunk of the live stream for that charity drive in late 2013. I think I just happened upon it via Facebook or Twitter that night.
And thumbs up to Doug for a solid interview. It goes to show that there's always something new to learn about Mr. Jones here.
Speaking of, why DID they stop reposting the stream? I'd watch it again!
Brad really seems like a great guy, it'd be really cool meeting him irl one day and just talk about whatever.
I think overall the interview was okay. Brad does a great job answering questions.
However, it's a shame that Doug Walker relied so heavily on his written questions and kept referring to them.
I imagine giving an interview is hard and there is lots of pressure; but, Doug seems personable enough to wing it or he should have had Rob Walker in the back with cue card questions or something....
IT would be cool if Brad did something like this for Team Snob.
Like a SHORT 10 min interview/proife or something. Ask why his team continues to take cinematic beatings. LOL
Gettin' under the skin of Brad is good like a warm blanket. For those who would like to know more about what Mr. Jones did before The Cinema Snob, listen to The Random Button episodes "Sadistic Bitch". There's a lot of talk about some of the movies, they made in the early 2000's. Also there's a certain chemistry between Brad and Dave that will make you think just maybe Smitty (from 80's Dan) is based on a true story, or at least Mr. Gobble himself.
Great interview, all your answers seemed very genuine.Brad have you seen the pilot for the From Dusk Til Dawn series?
So, are we going to see a Nostalgia Critic review of Paranoia? :D
...buy the Best of TGWTG, Vol. 4 DVD; it's one of the bonus features. I haven't seen it myself (haven't watched Paranoia yet), but it's there.
By movie sets do you mean peoples attics and public parks....?
But seriously, it was ok I guess. Worked with what Doug gave you even if it was basically the same old same old.
No mention of Lloyd? BLASPHEMY!
OK, who's the older sibling, c'mon!
lots of great stuff in there about work ethic and the power of gumption and just doing what you love: awesome interview!
on another note, it's always fascinating to see Brad and Doug of character, it makes you realize how talented they are as actors.
