Let me save you the trouble:
Someone: "Dammit, Blip!"
There, now we can move on.
This comment section needs a "like"-system ASAP.
And maybe a dislike/spam system, though that might be pointless since there's no account system though there'd be no point for this site.
ive given up on mainstream american horror films
Not an American horror movie my friend
omg lol being compared to mengele ...wow XD also i think i vaguely remember a documentary like brad mentioning but there are so many nazi and hilter things on the history channel that i honestly cannot pinpoint it. I liked the woman in black one didn't think it needed a sequel.
Ah what is babaduke ....
J-pop bullies sounds like a good show
Looking at imdb Taken 3 is going to be PG 13. I know you kinda feel obligated to go see it in the cinema, but I'm definitely not paying to watch a cut down version of that film.
Brad's felt the same way in the past, and I feel the same now. One, I never saw Taken 2 after all the crap reviews it got. Second, I'd rather wait for an unrated cut if I ever were going to see it. And by the time it hits home video, there will be another new Liam Neeson action film in cinemas - "Run All Night." He plays a hitman protecting his estranged family from the mafia. Comes out in April. It's from the same director as "Non-Stop." Also stars Ed Harris and Vincent D'Onofrio.
I fucking knew that Brad would dig the shit out of "The Guest". I thought it was amazing, A great throw back to Thrillers/horrors of the late 80s-mid 90s.
Dan Stevens, a good bet for the next James Bond if they don't go with Idris Elba, who is campaigning hard for the part.
You won't have to be at The Wedding Ringer, Brad. It comes out the same weekend as the new Michael Mann film, which I KNOW you'll be at.
It doesn't matter if Brad is at that movie, because someone is going to be unlucky and have to go see that piece of crap.
And by "someone", you mean Jake, if only to do some "I thought this was a Wedding Singer remake" jokes.
Ryan might be the only person I've ever seen, on the internet or otherwise, who laugh at their own jokes without being annoying. Anyone else does that shit, it's infuriating. Ryan does it, it's kind of endearing. Maybe it's because his laugh is so infectious; I don't know. I'll have to ask for another grant in order to conduct further research.
Sorry Tim, but you'll have to wait your turn. You see, I already told Alfred to give a grant to an Alexander Knox. Maybe next time, pal.
Here's to yet another year of sh*tty movies getting sh*tty sequels & still no Dredd 2.
Happy f#cking New Year, I guess
Hey Brad, when will you have your best/worst films of 2014 video up?
Yaaayyy Ryan is back! :-) Say is Jake going to suffer(?) through another kids' movie this week? Not that I want him to suffer *cough, cough* but I would love myself a week of Ryan and Jake reviews, for sure!
HAVE JAKE GO SEE "SELMA"!
If there is going to be AT LEAST ONE film critic that RIPS that PRETENTIOUS OSCAR-BAIT film APART, it HAS to be the ANGRIEST! (2nd to Hadley of course) :)
Hadley doesn't count. You have to actually see the movie first before you give it an angry review.
How come you haven't talked about the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie 'Inherent Vice" yet? Havent you guys gotten the trailer for it at all? It comes out the same fay as "Selma" and Taken 3", so why aren't you planing on seeing it?
Where did I say I wasn't planning on seeing it? We've talked about the trailer before in one or two videos, but we haven't talked about the movie itself because it hasn't come to Springfield yet. Taken 3 and Selma are the movies getting pre-screened for us on Thursday, so that's what we're seeing. Inherent Vice is going to one of the other theaters in town, so I'll be seeing it soon enough. And if you knew it didn't come out until this weekend, why did you ask why we haven't talked about it?
Have you ever thought of sending Jake to one of the more serious films?
Maybe seeing "Selma" could re-unite him with one of the black people who went to go see "Bl-Annie" with him… :D
I like the idea of Jake's movie partner being the fat black lady for every movie.
It would be like "Jake and the Fatman" except it would be "Jake and the Fat Black Lady".
I love watching Hammer films for their gothic atmosphere and the great presence of both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Aside from the very good Let Me In, the studio seems to have a tough time getting back to the fold. They should bring back Dracula and Frankenstein if they ever want to stay around!
Great Review. Hammer films needs to rethink their approach.
This is my funny view on the movie.
when we all be getting the best/worst of 2014 video. plus I am wondering if there will be dvd review from your comfy couch from the makers of v/h/s and "you're next" that just came out on dvd "the guest"
The Best/Worst stuff will be coming within the next couple weeks.
Out of curiosity, are Patreon supporters getting these videos first, or will they be broadcasted as normal?
*Sarcastically* Gee, I wonder how many of Brad's worst will be religious movies…
Seriously, I expect "God's Not Dead", "The Identical", "Endless Love", "Think Like a Man Too", "A Million Ways to Die in The West", "The Single Mom's Club", "A Haunted House 2", and "Mom's Night Out" to be on the list.
P.S. *In the Snob's voice* I LIKED "Pompeii" & "Transcendence" thank you very much...
So here's a fun fact, I went to middle school with two of Hermann Goering's descendants. Evidently Topeka, Kansas was a good place for descendants of the Luftwaffe.
Goering at least was considered one of the "least bad" of Hitler's inner circle and was absurdly charismatic.
I associate Hammer with boobies, ultra red blood.(Kensington Gore?) and really really loud music.
There's decent horror around but none of it really hits theaters., but in truth I grew up in the 80s and saw everything on VHS so it just seems about normal to me.
When someone says "Hey! You look like [insert serial killer here] dude!" the goal is to hope for Ted Bundy, but pray its not Otis Toole.
(Of any of them I would say you most resemble a skinny BTK ;)
Damn you Brad, my penis can't handle this many videos with Ryan
You guys see Mortdecai trailer yet?
Who gets to see that one? Guessing Sarah and someone
You're not crazy Brad. Article in the Times (Apr 14, 1991) news about an expose all book about survivors from Auschwitz. Eva Kor said 'Some of the older girls thought he was handsome and had a crush on him'
Given what you've described in earlier videos as Nick's interest (in serial killers), I'd have thought the conversation would have been more apt with him...
Man, this movie was just a string of pointless jump scares.
Besides Oculus, there wasn't a single horror movie this year with a wide theatrical release that was actually good.
I dunno, I thought Brad looked a bit like Dean Corll. *ba-dum, tish*
I wonder if Duff was the Duff in Guns N' Roses.
I believe it was the MTV VJ
I was curious about this, but sounds like it is just another disappointing horror movie. The movie sounds kinda generic in it's attempts to be scary. Dammit I want something truly scary! Am I going to have to make one myself?
Is Brian the Duff of Team Snob?
I think it's Irving.
Nah..... After seeing his 'non-manscaped' tummy in an early vid, it's definitely Jerrid.
It's nice to see more Ryan on the site. Stick around dude!
it's sad that Hollywood can't even make a good and/or fun horror movie anymore. hell, I can come up with a better concept for a horror movie since I had an idea of a supernatural serial killer who can replicate himself like a hydra or similar to Agent Smith in The Matrix sequels whenever someone chops off a body part or spill blood from his wounds. if someone gave me the money to make a fun horror film, then give me the position. at least I have ideas and that that thing that called "creativity" that Hollywood is severely lacking now a days. for someone who designs 300 anime characters and over 400 dark artwork, I've got plenty of ideas. if people want good horror movies to be made, then they need to find & hire people with creativity & fresh ideas that can make that happen.
the last time we had a legit good horror movie was The Cabin In The Woods. but that was only 3 years ago. You're Next came close, but not close enough since it's just an ok horror film. the day that Hollywood completely runs out of creativity and ideas is when they decide to remake Jaws, Back To The Future, and/or The Exorcist. and in all honesty, the last time a horror movie built up so much hype was Freddy Vs Jason.
This review was amazing!
So Brad!!! Having seen The Guest when are you gonna give us your review on it? Since I saw it a couple of days ago Ive been waiting for you to give us your opinion on it!
Modern horror is dead. Long live classic horror!
When are you going to post "Midnight Screenings of 2014 in 5 Seconds" this year Brad?
Hopefully you do it in the next two months. :D
Hey Brad, did you know that you're on the Most Douchebag Names- list? What's up with that :D ?
"This movie made me not give a shit about children dying after escaping bombings by the Nazis" That statement sums up this movie perfectly.
I would just like to point out that the sun seems to be supernova-ing behind you guys.
