So...is it nice to be back, Brad?
i agree with you brad and brads friend i hated man of steel it was bland boring grey and terrible i agree im actually excited for Ben Affleck to play Batman he looks awesome. Jessie FUCKIN eisenberg is the wrong person to play Lex luther hes an ok actor not a great actor. that dc trailer was so bland im not gonna waste my money on these movies. GOD i know man Jerard Leto as the joker the pictures of him he looks like a cosplayer whose gone way over the top or apart of some heavy metal band
chill out dude
Brad and Dave return with a new midnight screening. Sweet!!!! Time to bust out that Son of Baconator I got earlier.
God bless you guys for seeing these religious movies!
Could you guys just leave me out of this?
You have the power to make it stop, God. I know you can!
Dad, whats for dinner?
You don't exist. Stop existing.
I am your worst nightmare!
I'm a huge fan of bananas.
While I do like Little Dave, I've grown too fond of Hipster Dave too change it mow
Yeah, I tried getting into 'Max Force'.... but that just made me think "Hey, whatever DID happen to my Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force album?"
Whenever I hear Dave referred to as 'Max Force', I always think of 'Narc' and where's Hit Man?
Why not use both? Little Hipster Dave? Or Hipster Little Dave?
After the Avengers talk at the end of this, all I can picture is Ultron pimping out Tony Stark to repay a debt. Spader was incredible in "Less Than Zero." I'm so glad my weekend starts when I get off work tomorrow. Loooong weekend for me to enjoy Avengers, and then, next week, I've got a classic series screening of Big Trouble in Little China!
Please, when you go back for Avengers tomorrow night...please take a picture of the "Get Hard" and "Little Boy" posters next to each other. Something like that needs to be seen by everyone. Sort of like when theaters were advertising "Transformers" "Sex Tape" last year.
I second this request.
Age of Ultron is quite good. Better than the first one.
Not really according to the reviews.
that's what some people say about Empire Strikes Back, and I'll tell you, that's some bullshit.
But hey, maybe Avengers 2 is better, I look forward to seeing it.
Also, I hate to be "that guy," but it was Renee Zellweger that was too young for Tom Cruise in "Jerry Maguire, not Reese Witherspoon.
I'll see myself out.
Well to be fair, someone had to say it. I thought I heard them wrong when they said Reese Witherspoon.
It had to be said.
Also that there isn't a serve age difference between Renee Zellweger and Tom Cruise. He was born in 1962, and she was born in 1969, so seven years apart isn't that drastic
Don't talk about me behind my back you fucker
Out of all the movie projects DC has announced, the only one I'm looking forward to is Suicide Squad. I am definitely withholding judgement of Jared Leto's Joker until I see him in action. I have mixed feelings about the picture that was released, but I honestly still suspect he'll be pretty good. The Joker is such a fun character, with so many possibilities for various interpretations, that he's already almost impossible to screw up. I mean think about it: out of everyone who has ever played the Joker, which one of them was truly bad? So many people have been stellar in the role: Casar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill, John Dimaggio, Heath Ledger, Kevin Michael Richardson...when it comes down to it, who many bad Jokers were there? Brent Spiner? Maybe?
Don't forget about Troy Baker (Arkham Origins and Assault on Arkham), a fitting replacement for Mark Hamill in my opinion.
I am curious about this movie because of this picture. I just wonder if the picture had a more subtle pose and face expression would people be so upset about it. The pose itself is very bold, but as far as everything else, I think it works. I think Joker would actually enjoy the reactions it is getting.
Im not too thrilled about the Marilyn Manson Juggalo Joker though.Mabey if they got rid of his tattoos and had his hair be a little bit thicker then it would be alright.
I don't mind the tattooes, but the "Damaged" across his forehead is too much. Most of it is the ridiculously exaggerated pose, which I assume he won't do for the whole movie.
Yay, "The Cross Boys" are back, baby!! (I call you guys the Cross Boys because you go see religious movies AND because you're angry about them!) Aren't I a smart little boy!
I actually wish I had Little Dave's superpower to end movies. Fuck knows I could have used that back when Jurassic Park 3 came out.
Guess I'll just have to buy a gun and end movies quickly the Elvis Presley way. "Aww, this show ain't no good!"
Oh my god, you guys are going to love Avengers 2.
The movie is so awesome. The part where Ironman CGed into the CG and then they all fought the CG and finally destroyed it by throwing the CG into the CG was so amazing.
And don't even get me started on the CG that CGs, which doesn't come until later, after the CG causes CG to CG and then CG is the result. Mother of god, that was so much fun!
Oh, and Jeremy Renner was there, too.
Yo dawg, we heard you like CG...
That's exactly what happens!
Black Widow is standing in front of CG and she says to CG, "Yo, dawg. I heard you like CG, so I put some CG in your CG!"
Then, like, the CG explodes into the CG, and Jeremy Renner rides the CG to CG and then...oh, my god. I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
But let me say that what happens next is pretty damn awesome.
I like the bit at the end where the CG stops fighting the CG to join forces with CG to fight the CG and Jeremy Renner does something or other.
Oh my god, you are so right. I forgot that part! However, the CG's next move is what REALLY surprised me. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. LOL!
Okay, I'm fangirling here, but...
"Japanese dude was really good." "Japanese dude was really solid [...]"
Me: "I bet it's Tagawa." *IMDBs the movie* "Of course."
You know, I'm gonna wait how the Joker comes out before I go screaming bloody murder. Because Heath Ledgers Joker was different from the comic one, hell Joker is the one character who had a ton of various appearances in the DC world both games/cartoons/movies/comics. So, let's just see say a trailer or something.
Exactly! Everyone -and I mean EVERYONE- was bitchin' up a storm when early concept pics Of Heath popped on to the net..... now those same whiners can't stop kissing his ass.....
Writing a whole movie off based on 'A' picture? Fucking REALLY ?
Also.... cut it the fuck out with spoofing my name. It's bad enough when it's done to LloydFan, but you look like a true mental moron putting pro-religious trolling in this atheist's mouth (and it's not like i don't know who's behind it, asshat).
You need to get hard for little boy.
so little boy has a shirley temple moment in the little princess XD
Ugh juggalo joker ....i am writing it off now too i was fine with jared leto then he came with this shit ugh
Got any links to this juggalo joker.
I would like to see, but there's already a bunch of ridiculous pictures of Jared Leto as Joker, but none of them strike me as juggalo.
Hope the link works ...my problem with it is the tattoos especially the one on his head maybe it won't be so bad but its not my taste
@lia the link works fine.
But are you really sure this is legit?
It looks like shitty photoshop.
My gods, if this is true :( I have faith in Jared Leto as an actor, but if this is what they're going with, then I just don't know.
I feel like Jared Leto as Joker is going to suck, but I want to see it before I say it officially sucks.
Looks more like Home Alone Joker to me.
Hey Brad, is Ex Machina in town? Having seen that movie myself I'd like to see your take on it.
Seems like he'd really enjoy that one. Probably hasn't quite hit Springfield yet.
Is Jared Leto going to impersonate Tom Waits like Heath Ledger.
Oh hey, I didn't know there was a prequel to Shut Up Little Man.
Hate to say this...but you guys might end up really, really disappointed in Age of Ultron. It's...well...lower your expectations. that's how I'll put it.
I've been waiting so long for a Manos reference. Thank you Brad. You are a godsend...so to speak
Glad this didn't hurt too much. I know its been out since last week but do you guys plan on checking out Ex Machina?
Glenn Beck (conservative talk show host) stated today on his NATIONWIDE program that this (the movie Little Boy) is what America should be like....and that if it's just a dream its a dream he wants to have.
Aw, come on Little Dave. I think the Jared Leto Joker has a lot of potential. I'm actively anticipating it.
I'm kind of with you. I have an open mind on the issue.
I don't like the tattoos, but then again, it all depends on how they handle the thing overall.
It might be OK...although probably not. I dunno....
Yeah, Little Dave, show some optimism. Nerd.
Hey, New 52 Joker ripped his own face off and wears it as a mask. So...
Did you know that Brian Lewis is actually related to Ben Affleck?
I'm not excited for this joker, but MAN. David Ayer writing AND directing? They'd have to post a lot more horrible shit for me to not be there for Suicide Squad
Jeeze Dave getting a little ahead of yourself on the BvS hate. The trailer wasn't all that bleak by me its Batman vs Superman you knew some serious shit has to go done to set this up from the outset. I mean hell this is a Batman coming out of retirement which really bad stuff went down to cause (probably the death of a Robin) but its also called Dawn of justice so you know it going to end triumphantly. Look its pretty obvious how it will probably play out in broad strokes going to out: Lex is going to play Batman and Superman against each other. We're talking about a Superman post MOS so he's obviously going to be too eager to please the people of the world to convince the world and himself that he's a benevolent force for good and that's where Lex will play him against Batman probably by proxy using corrupt political/public figure to push Superman into intervening in some crisis in Gotham which probably brought Batman out of retirement (also potentially engineered by Lex) inevitably stepping on Batman toes while Lex will probably push Batman against Superman and the masses by playing him up as an existential threat to humanity because his existence trivializes and subverts human potential as well as pointing to the need to develop counter measures to the likes of Superman given you know the collateral damage that happened in MOS ultimately compelling Batman to take on Superman to prove to the world and to himself that humanity that a mere mortal like himself can rise to challenge and take on a God and bring them to their knees. At which point Lex will spring his trap and unleash some creation/mechanization of his to kill Superman because unlike Batman its not enough for him to merely humble a God to prove a point Superman has got to die as far as he's concerned. at which you have you 3rd act shift where after earned greater level of respect and understanding through combat now fight together against a common threat possibly along side WW role credits after credits teaser for the next movie.
So basically plot-wise exceedingly similar to the first Avengers movie just with fewer and different characters
Okay, let's put aside the fact that I'm a MOS supporter for now.
I see a lot of things to be excited for in the trailer. Honestly, really do. But the problem is that it's only perpetuating a major flaw the first movie had for a good portion of it: it was very freaking bleak. And at least the end of MOS promised a bit of optimism which seemed to be lacking anywhere in that trailer.
I've seen theories suggesting that the trailer is poised from Batman's point of view: people revering Superman as a God or a False Shepard, the narrations, etc. If that's the case, then could there at least be a more... hopeful, optimistic Superman version? You got the dual alternate posers, why not a companion trailer?
Hopefully Terio will be able to smooth out Goyer's script and add a bit more to the characters. Same for when they get around to the Justice League movies.
As for Suicide Squad? I... *sigh*. I wish that Leto wasn't mugging similar to the Home Alone Scream in that press photo. Menacing, smug, something other than that. The tattoos I could do without, but whatever.
What Id like to know is:Did he ever ask what BJ is?
Dave you are so wrong on Man of Steel I am sorry. MOS is a fine movie consider a) it was made by zack Snyder, b) it was a decent superman film where he actually did something and c) he saved the world a t great cost that is superman. I am not going to judge a film ona trailer but if he does a good job I don't see what is wrong
Allegedly, the Joker pic is just a promotional thing, but I don't know for certain.
Would have been more funny if someone stuck that Fant4stic teaser poster, the one with just the #4 in it, between the Get Hard and Little Boy posters. But that's just my inner 12 year old talking. ^^;
Also, thank you, Dave. I am so glad I'm not the only one that thinks the decisions DC Entertainment/Warner Bros are making for their upcoming superhero movies have been fucking terrible. I want to see a good DC Cinematic Universe as much as the next guy. But, between Juggalo Joker and the utter depressing tone of the Batman V Superman movie (along with word that Batman is going to be the hero of the movie while Supes is the alleged bad guy), there is nothing that gets me hyped for whats to come.
You guys made me kind of want to see this, and it's very much not my normal cup of tea.
Late to the comments, but, Dave, regarding the DC Cinematic Universe...Preach! I've always been a DC fan, and I have completely written off all of that.
Wasn't as big of a fan of Age of Ultron - it wasn't as fun as I'd expected - but still on board for MCU. Especially Daredevil.
Wait, you mean it's NOT about the nuke?
Never mind it is.
Hmmm.....Norman Rockwell wrapped in Cotton Candy you say?
Well that would just be Thomas Kinkade, talent-less hack that he is....
(As an artist, I really fucking HATE that idiot and his 'style').
