Brad must have a fun life. Jealous.
Brad also has a beautiful girlfriend. Jealous.
I admit, the trailer for this didn't look bad. I might try it someday, despite being a huge chicken.
I just rewatched the trailer and now I'm regretting my decision.
Shortest midnight screening in a while. That last few have been either pushing or over an hour in legnth.
Dear God.....why would you buy that movie......my store sells that and nobody has bought it.....company has only made $50.00 off it.....it's that bad.
To be fair, that DVD is the least amount of money I've spent on Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas so far.
coincidentally, my younger brother once bought a dvd of Battlefield Earth at a local FYE for less than a dollar. the cheapest movie I bought so far this year was Alien 35th anniversary edition for $2.00 at Best Buy.
PLEASE tell me that dvd has the "Last Action Hero" -esque cover they used on the movie poster! Or at least like an insert or something because that was fuckin' hilarious.
On the front, it's endorsed by Dr. Ben Carson! So I'm sure it's selling like hotcakes in Tea Party GOP Durperville.
Cinema Detroit video Brad mentioned toward the beginning. Looks like an interesting place: https://youtu.be/-kUkhZoN4zM
That place look creepy as shit i aint going to that bathroom heeeelll no
Whoa, jumpscare in the middle of the review!!
What time exactly in the video? Sorry I just wanna be aware of it.
8:45 if she's talking about what I think she's talking about.
haha it's not too bad but i feel ya, i hate jump scares. at around 8:40 the camera drops
lol yeah, I was just making a joke.
It seemed rather appropriate I guess.
I was more afraid of his camera falling than I have been in every found footage movie combined. I know how expensive that shit can get.
So is this like A Tale of Two Sisters?
To be honest it sounds like a fun movie to me. I like those kinds of horror movies...
The plot reminded me a little of 2 other movies though.
The Korean movie A Tale Of Two Sisters and the other being the Antonio Banderas film The Skin I Live in.
If you haven't seen those I recommend them. Both are pretty good and both go a little more into psychological horror territory.
Anyway I'm gonna go check out Goodnight Mommy. And lol I just may also have to get that Saving Christmas DVD for shits and giggles.
I haven't been to the new Cinema Detroit yet, but their original location was something else. It was an old high school, with a pool table in the men's room. Not in the restroom area, but inside the men's room.
haha my favorite twilight zone episode to quote lol XD its not fair i had time now...i had time now
wow detroit has like the most interesting theaters to go to better than the movies lol
I really need to see the babadook-sp?-
This movie kinda sounds like a korean movie about twin girls i watched once awhile ago can't remember the name its good
The camera falling was actually kind of shocking. The silence afterwards gave it a "Welp. You died" kind of thing. Because I was kind of expecting to hear a "Aw shit."
Brad, I much prefer Ash Ketchem's The Gym Next Door.
You can tell it's a good movie if the video is under 30 minutes.
I felt pretty much the same about this one. It's well made, but it somehow isn't engaging. I did like Belgian backwoods boy scout slasher Cub/Welp.
Hey Brad, are you planning on seeing the new Evil Dead series?
Saving Christmas Snob episode? Hell. Yes.
You guys drove all the way to Ypsilanti just to get Saving Christmas?
Now you've made me all nostalgic for my hometown. I miss Coney restaurants.
Watched this movie several weeks ago, and... I didn't like it much. It was too obvious.
Yeah Brad, I pretty much had the same feelings about the movie. A big problem I felt was just that I knew where the movie was going long before it got there and the road the movie took to get there was in no way as thrilling or smart as it thought it was. Another thing that you didn't mention, though, I thought everything involving the Red Cross characters was just a forced (and failed) method at building tension. That part reeeeally dragged for me.
My problem with this movie is that the concept of their mother not being their mother is more interesting than what the twist implies. I wish they went in that direction instead.
I, for one, am glad you mentioned about the cockroaches. Guess this is one I don't have to bother seeing. *shudders uncontrollably*
