Am I the only one disappointed that when the comparisons to Crash started, they weren't comparisons to David Cronenberg's Crash?
Now THAT would be a Religious movie I want to see.
I cried. Great, heaving, sobbing tears that can only be soothed by the Brad's manly bosom.
You're not alone on that, my friend. If a religious movie was as bat-shit insane as David Cronenberg's Crash, I would be first in line.
I'm paused at 0:01 to let it load and I'm already giggling.
Hahaha thank you for saying this so I could pause it at the same time and make sure I saw Dave's face in that freeze frame.
I agree :D
I like this reviews lighting. Maybe you could mix in a few Daylight Car reviews with the Midnight reviews.
Is stealing my name fun?
Maybe they can shoot them day-for-night.
Also, I jerked off Jesus with my hair
Fuck. I thought I had that one
Get away from my son you HUSSIE.
I'm all for Pastor Ryan! Go for it! Also, I hope you find a bootleg of Tequila & Bonnetti one day. DVD-R Hell has been on a canine withdrawal since Poochinski.
I also second Pastor Ryan. Man I'd be so up for seeing this. I'd show it to all of my Christian friends.
Pastor Ryan is a GREAT idea.... 'course if you really want to make some serious bank get Jillian and Sarah in nun outfits (boom chicka wah wah) ;)
I want Dave to reprise his role from "Gods' Not Dead" as Pastor Dave with Irving in blackface as his African missionary friend..... :D
I think Irving would be better as the effeminate token black guy (ala Kirk Cameron's masterpiece)
If Irving's going to be in blackface, it has to be as the manservant of Duke Lewis, southern aristocrat, sippin' a mint julep as Pastor Dave preaches to the cotton fields. Brad plays the albino ex-slave who returns to wreak his vengeance, only to find Jesus and embrace his place in the social order..
If Irving is going to be in Blackface he has to sing a spiritual in a split screen montage of Pastor Lewis preaching the word of the Lord, Brad should be the kindly albino ex-slave who acts as the voice of former Mandingo fighters, who is also a gambler on a riverboat. Sarah should be the progressive teacher lady trying to end slavery.
And Pastor Dave having a fear-boner... FOR GOD!!
I know it's 2 DAYS LATER, but I MEANT to say REVEREND Dave (There's a BIG DIFFERENCE people) ^^;
6:48 Like how Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton, acted like the Ferguson Rioters were victims
Bravo good sir...BRAVO!!
...and I REALLY DO MEAN THAT!
So...when exactly have I ever said anything about Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton?
Sharptons' talked about you Brad....
Rev. Al Sharpton 01/31/2015 2:52 PM
I took care of Mr. Irving by having my NAACP goons beat him up before he could say anything negative or contradictory to what 99% of critics say about "Selma" on Rotten Tomatoes….ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE OR WANTS TO SEE "SELMA" IS A RACIST IN MY BOOK!
YOU ARE A RACIST MR. JONES FOR NOT SENDING ANYONE TO SEE IT!!! >:(
Fucking exactly though. Got to love these right wingers and their ad hominem talking points.
Irving? I would have expected Sharpton to go after the other Brian on the site, for obvious reasons.
Well, you're white, so they're the only African Americans whom you've heard of, so their responsible for all things ever.
Says the 4chan troller who can't rub 2 pixels worth of brain depth together.....
Irony is a cruel mistress....
This was one of the most bizarrely directed movies I've ever seen. There's the scene where they're sitting in what I thought was his apartment, because they're all acting like they're in this apartment, and they're having a cup of coffee and chatting it up. Then they leave and it turns out to be a cafe. Maybe I'm just an idiot, did you guys get that from that scene?
I like how the name of the production company is Pureflix. Also, if these are the same guys who made "God's Not Dead", where's crazy Atheist Kevin Sorbo?
Brad has put out movies like 'Cheap', 'Freak Out', and 'Midnight Heat'.... but a Jeebus movie might be a challenge?....
That idea tickles me to no end.
Goddamn you guys are awesome...
Thinking about it, I kind of want Brad to make this possible Christian movie about a pastor who catches wind of some blasphemous film makers trying to spread their "filth" to an innocent, unsuspecting public and makes it his mission (despite his friends/loved ones not believing in his cause) to use "love and tolerance" and Jesus to bring them to the right side or stop them.
Because they could just reuse footage from those movies to help pad the movie out. xD
Should be like how "Death Nurse" & "Death Nurse 2" used shots from "Criminally Insane" no matter how incoherent the match-up.
I like that idea....
I love the idea xD And then have the cinemasnob review it, and hate it because it uses so much stock footage xD
Brad, I don't know if this is playing near you or if you'd be interested, but my family has been raving about seeing a documentary in theaters tomorrow only called, "Four Blood Moons." I'm pretty fuzzy on what it's about, but from what I can tell, it's trying to align science and prophecy from the Bible. Pseudoscience probably, trying to get in that sweet astronomy demographic. And something something End Times, I'm sure. I'd love to see your thoughts on it!
So is "Do You Believe?" the "Intolerance" to "Gods' Not Dead"'s "Birth of a Nation"?...
It's more like Blended to Grown Ups 2. Still pretty shit, but, hey, at least it's not Grown Ups 2.
When you started building up to the old lady in the theater's racist comment, I absolutely thought she had blurted the N-word in a crowded theater. I was honestly disappointed when you guys repeated what she actually said.
War Room is the new film from the dude's who made Fireproof. As far as I can tell its the exact same plot in terms of Jesus saving you from hating your wife.
That trailer kind of scared me, to be honest. Especially when it gets to the whole "army" part.
The family-friendly movie explores the transformational role prayer plays in the lives of the Jordan family. It seems like another Book of Job movie, but shitty
Reading the plot summary on IMDb it comes off like a religious version of "War of the Roses". Sadly, it doesn't sound like the couple fall to their deaths at the end of this one.
Dave is turning into a London cabbie
Brad, if you were actually going to make a Christian movie, I would promote it like crazy over here. I want this hypothetical movie to win. I am so down for this :D
I would support you on patreon for this brad :D AAAND i would whatch it just to laugh my ass off. But please make it extra pretentious :P
I watched the warroom trailer with the directors commentary.... it was weird, it's a movie about praying and praying is equal to fighting wars?
And when you pray you go to your inner warroom....
I'm no religious person but is that what they teach in church O_O?
no, but inner struggle with sin is a heavily used concept. I find the militarization of Christianity disturbing.
They want a medival revival xD
Okay, it's pretty clear at this point that Brad and the SnobTeam are in fact born agains. :)
No one would hate themselves so much to willingly go and see EVERY new religious flick out there. :)
Gd in heaven these movies suck Look I a Quaker and I find these movies offensive You are fine but seriously surely a religious movie a good one at least should appeal to all people no matter their beliefs
I went to one religious movie last year (The Identical). The crowd creeped me out enough to the point where I'd be too uncomfortable to walk into another one.
Welp dave could not run from this one XD i hate they subtly sneak in hate messages like all these religious movies do but what are goin to do?
They promoted this on the today show i saw lee majors i was like hey! what he doing here XD
Brad you need to make this Jesus movie
Why do you hate god so much? Just because you are a dirty little fag or is there more to it?
Yup, Conley is back.
This should be fun....
Is it just me or is it hilariously ironic that gay bashers are constantly obsessed with other men's sexuality? If you take more than a couple seconds to think about what or who another dude fucks, you might be a 'fag' yourself.
Yeah, it's all "penis, penis, penis, male butt, penis, but YOU'RE gay"
He's so gay!
Feel better about yourselfs yet? Because you all just little people who watch some racist pagan on the internet.
You said it man, we need more heroes like Gilgamesh again... he'll smite all these filthy pagans who don't believe in our blessed goddess Ishtar!
So a 'wishful literary' pagan hero [Gilgamesh] is calling a non-racist agnostic dude who reviews silly movies [Brad] a: "racist pagan".....
Daaaamn.... the nasty, nonsensical, 'throw anything at the wall', more ludicrous than the rapper, Net Nut-bars are showing up here more and more lately. Is it their FUCKING MATING SEASON or just something in the water nowadays?
you keep watching Jesus movies and yet you hate them. are you guys glutton for punishment? if you want a Jesus movie that is actually good, but fake, go watch the MadTV skit Terminator 3 The Greatest Story Ever Told. link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHyEFefqAIk
nope its just that since they sold their souls they get some extra rewards for blasphemy
I think technically WE'RE the gluttons since we're the ones driving them to go so we can feed on their suffering ....
good point. as long as they don't suffer a complete psychotic breakdown, I'm sure they'll be just fine. I commented on the glutton for punishment quote because they don't like these movies, yet they still see them. I guess they really do enjoy self torture. but hey, if it makes them happy, then all the power to them. ^-^
the Christ-ploitation continues
I hope the Christ-sploitation leads to a remake of the gay Jesus porno, Him. Which would of course lead to Dave being Peeples'd and has to sit alone in a greasy porno theater watching the apex of Christ-sploitation, while Brad giggles him self to sleep that night.
There's a gay Jesus porno... and Brad and/or Diamanda haven't reviewed it?
"Him" is a lost film...all that's left of it is a few promotional pictures, newspaper showtimes and a few newspaper reviews from the time (1972).
I just dropped by to say - if you guys make a Jesus movie, I'll buy it. I'm not particularly interested in the movies you have released so far, I'm here for reviews, but a Jesus movie from you? Well, that's something I'd like to see....
DO YOU... BELIEVE... IN LOVE?
Why do "Christian" movies always seem so sacrilegious?
I don't know. it's just one of those questions that seems to have no answers. it's just like asking "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?".
We'll have to ask OwlJesus....
I guess Mitch McConnell wasn't much help.
The "Christian" movie is also cursed.
But it comes with a free frozen yogurt!
I can just see the Devil right now calling God & Jesus' followers hypocrites.
I'm disappointed at the lack of Cher jokes.
I found a trailer for War Room. I didn't find this trailer as "scary and militaristic" as Brad and Dave did, which leads me to believe that maybe they saw a different trailer for the same movie. I mean, it's definitely a preachy Jesus movie, and it's a little unclear what it's about, but it looks to me like just plain old inspiration porn:
Oh this is going to be smashing.
now you really forced me to post this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4eBvejTvMg
Please, PLEASE, make a Pro Jesus movie! I would by the DVD. I will watch it in theaters.
Is it possible to write it up so that believers get the straight message, but atheists see a hidden subversive message?
Also, if you can have a dream sequence where Spoony plays Jesus...couldn't hurt. :)
"A mother should be there when their baby is born"? Well, way to shit all over adoptive parents and orphans, crappy religious movie.
Her issue's not "I'm barren," it's, "I'm a selfish sanctimommy bitch who wants a "Oh, my medication-free childbirth was SO PAINFUL, but that's what REAL MOMMIES do! Validate me!" facebook post more than an actual child."
And isn't a teaching of Christianity to look after orphans/widows/etc? Geez . . .
Nah... it's always been more important for them to be 'holier than thou'.
Hey guys, big fan of your Vlog reviews!! Personally, I think that a parody of christian films, while deserved, would be "preaching to the choir" just as much as those films do; just to a different "choir." It'd be cool if you guys could do a review of a christian movie or make a sketch or movie that could be accessible to a christian audience and start a discussion about christian movies; hence, not using swear words and dirty jokes and whatnot so as to not offend most christians right off the bat. I know that not everyone is particularly reasonable or fair, but it would be really cool and worth a try.
Not necessarily, if I were to do a Christian spoof movie, it wouldn't be out to bash Christians or people of faith.
Hey Brad, are you gonna do a review of the NatGeo Channel’s premiere of Killing Jesus, the Bill O'Reilly's Jesus story? That would be awesome just because I have no interest in watching the movie but your review of it would be awesome. Please watch it and do a review with all your friends.
Have you found me yet, Dave? I'm still lost.
That's because Dave put you in his trunk....
So Brad's Jesus movie would basically be like Cartman's Christian rock album. Make it now
Pro-Jesus movie from Team Snob, I'll buy that for a dollar! But seriously do it. I'm sure it will be better than most other Christian flicks.
You should make Walking Tall, but with Muslims. Call it Walking Tall: Sharia Law.
Kevin Sorbo is already on board.
I think I prefer Dave at night. He looks rather creepy during the day.
car crash and everyone connected sounds more like a rip off of new zealand tv series "the insiders guide to happiness."
Brad, I just gotta say how sad I am at how militant you are about bashing Christians. I love watching these movie reviews, and each time I look at your review of one of these "Christian movies", I think "maybe this time he won't hate on Christians or their culture, maybe he'll give a fair and balanced review." I think you still need to work on getting all that hate out of your system.
Are you confusing me for The Amazing Atheist? What did I say that was bashing Christians? I'm not even an atheist, I'm strictly reviewing this as a movie, and if I find any kind of flaw in the filmmaking, screenwriting, or in its message, I'm going to say it. That's not me bashing Christians, that's me saying it's a bad movie.
That's a fair point. I really appreciate you responding personally, I rarely ever get to talk to the people who make this awesome internet stuff. While I have your ear (or eyes, as it may be), thanks for doing what you do with the reviews and stuff, it's my go-to for movie reviews (that might be a good or bad thing, take it for what you will lol).
you get a fair and balanced review when christian movies stop being bizarre, badly produced, and your "culture" stops being so anti-lgbt, anti-science, and starts actually preaching being a good person.
Because last I checked, your christian culture is still killing trans people at an alarming rate. How about instead of criticizing brad for not giving your "culture" a fair shake, you take a look at your own people and realize there is a disgusting and vile underbelly of bigotry, homophobia, racism, sexism and old traditions that are rightfully dying off.
The fact you think Christians, in a christian lead country, don't get a fair shake and you've decided to take your time to defend Christianity instead of being out there to defend people ACTUALLY being MURDERED by YOUR people I think objectively points to you being a person Jesus would come directly to your church and give you and your awful congregation a stern talking to about the kind selfish monsters your "culture" has always been and continues to be.
In short, your criticisms of an internet reviewer talking trash about a terrible christian movie can go to hell as long as YOUR PEOPLE keep killing MY PEOPLE and make me terrified to go outside at night because I'm afraid some christian bigot and his friends will fucking kill me.
Go back to church and learn some humility you selfish jerk.
This War Room perhaps?
Amazing how much money Heaven Is For Real made as of last August.
Brad, you know Serena's getting a theatrical release this weekend, right?
...You know you have to take the boys out to see it. If only for the cougar.
You guys have to see this and make a video on it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KONJaHbbWlY
Part of me would like to see Brad and company make a straight up religious Christian movie. On the other hand, I so want to see them do a parody of these movies. And not any of those God awful ones like the Scary Movie franchise or A Haunted House or whatever abomination squirted from the cancerous anuses of Friedberg and Seltzer. I mean one that harkens back to classics like Airplane and Young Frankenstein. Cause Christianity, among other religions that have been making life difficult for the majority of humanity, need to be taken down a couple pegs. Hell, if you could afford it, I would hire comedian Lewis Black to play the role of God who, after seeing all the shit that's been carried out in his name, decides to go back to his old testament ways. But that's just me.
Brad if you make a Jesus movie. You better have it sent to New York. I live there and I can't see any of the insane religious movies you've seen. If they did I would have seen The Identical and Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas in theaters! Even then it better get website and dvd release. I would love to see Dave as the evil anti-religion douchebag Atheist and have him act like he did in Cheap except crazier!
you know Brad, if you're going to continue to delete comments left and right, then why continue to have a comments section? some of the comments you deleted weren't negative or rude. I can understand deleting comments if they were attacking someone personally or being negative for the sake of being negative and so on. but just randomly deleting comments left & right for no specific reason? even you're better than that Brad.
Um, excuse me, I'm not deleting comments left and right, I've only taken down a few, and the ones that I've taken down had to do with Jake shit. If a comment went down that didn't say anything bad, it's because it was a reply to a deleted comment. Once a comment is deleted, replies to it are automatically deleted too.
that's not true. some of the comments I've posted to other people were taken down, and they had nothing to do with Jake either. some of my comments were deleted and it had nothing to do with Jake nor were they any reason to be deleted since the people I was commenting to weren't attacking Jake nor were they negative.
that's not true. some of my comments were deleted and they had nothing to do with Jake nor were the other person's comments either. they weren't rude, they weren't about Jake, and if it was I can understand that. and even if they weren't, what was wrong with them? the comments that I made and that other people made had nothing to do with Jake and had no reason to be deleted unless if there was clearly something wrong with what they were saying. then and only then I can understand why you did it. but if there wasn't anything wrong with their comments, then why did you remove them?
not true Brad. some of my comments were deleted as well as some of the other people who commented. and from what I've read, they weren't bad or negative, and they had nothing to do with Jake's shit. so, if they weren't negative or bad and they weren't attacking Jake, then what was wrong with them? you're just assuming that the comments that were deleted were negative or bad, and they weren't. and even if they did, then I would of known about it and then I would support your decision. but they weren't.
look, I think you're videos are great. and I'm sure your a nice guy in person. but if I'm suppose to judge everyone fairly and equally, then that includes you too. and even if the comments were deleted as you said if they were in deed negative and/or bad, then you need to back that up. some of the people I replied to weren't negative and they weren't being nasty or mean. what was wrong with their comments? explain to me why some of the comments were removed even if they weren't negative or bad.
Actually I know exactly what you're talking about. I looked in my deleted comments section, and you're not in there at all. The problem isn't that the comments are getting deleted; it's an html problem. As you can probably see, there's some coding problems going on with the comments. Notice how there's a < br > < br > whenever there's a line break on certain comments. Also, some replies aren't turning up either. For instance, you had to write that comment 3 times before it actually showed up. The comments are still there, they'll just reappear whenever the site gets fixed. Some of my own comments have gone missing too. I've written to Weebly about it, and hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
well, I wasn't aware of that. I just assume that you were just deleting comments that were negative. I didn't want to get the wrong impression, but I guess I had the wrong intention. I hope you get those problems fixed, and I'm apologize if I wasted your time.
I hope you eventually get the website fixed, and I do apologize if I came across as being negative. my intention wasn't to insult you, it was just to get some answers. and if my comments seem out of line, then I do apologize for that. I'll have to return the favor whenever I get a chance to meet you (which I wanted to at Magfest, but I missed my chance). next time I'm at Giant, I'll have to get you and the rest of Team Snob packs of Tab soda. are we cool?
Next time, just ask me what's up, and leave out the insulting/condescending tone. Thanks.
I'll keep that in mind. maybe you can finally thank me for making the cd's and dvd I made for you and Jake. even Phelous thanked me the stuff I made him. it took me a very long time to get that done, and I didn't have to do it. beyond the 1000 + artwork I have done (from the american anime project to the dark artwork) to posting over 600 videos on youtube, making those dvd's & cd's was something I wanted to do for all of your hard work and patience. I've got far too much free time on my hands, and I've already got tons of frustration as it is. and sometimes, that kind of insulting/condescending tone tends to slip. as one person said: it's hard to shake off something that's already under your skin. I'm sure you get a similar tone with Jake all the time, and vice versa. but I bet both you & Jake doesn't sound like Keith David's Spawn when you guys gets angry. and this is coming from a guy who uses his creativity in order to deal with the kind of people I'm forced to tolerate on a daily basis. for example:

Will Jake ever make cameo appearances in the CS reviews?
Funny. When he said,"The whole movie is 'Crash'" I thought he said "The whole movie is crap." Although that's the impression I get from this review.
