I have not seen any of the children's movies that are reviewed on this website. That's just because I have refused to watch childrens movies for the past... 4-5 years.
BECAUSE I'M NOT A CHILD.
Like this on girl went up to me and was like "Hey you should really watch frozen." and I said "Go to hell, I'm not a kid, I'm not watching any fucking more Disney films."
The last children's film I saw was Toy Story 3, and that was fucking it. I haven't seen epic, haven't seen Wreck it Ralph, haven't seen any of the How To Train Your Dragon's, I haven't seen shit since Toy Story 3, and I'm personally glad about that.
Aren't you an anti-fun prick?
No, I still watched GI Joe Retaliation, and Hulk Hogan's "No Holds Barred".
And I've seen all of the Rush Hour movies.
Oh, and let me think, I've also seen every episode of Bostan Legal. And I watched Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
I have tons of fun, I just have fun without watching movies that I have far outgrown as a genre.
I still watch Power Rangers for nostalgia purposes, and because it's good trash. I still watch seasons 1-2 SpongeBob because that shit is timeless. I still watch Rugrats because that shit is still hilarious, if not more.
I DON'T watch Disney. Disney sucks, it's always sucked, and I'm glad I've matured enough to the point that I can identify that.
Sure they had some good shows on their channel, "Recess" was a good show "Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command" was a good show, and a good movie.... that's all I can think of. The rest is easily dated garbage.
I love having fun, I can't have fun with Disney.
Oh man we have a special snow flake here because "I'M AN ADULT I DON'T LIKE KIDS MOVIES" shut the fuck up. A lot of the movies these guys have to see are usually bad but animated/kids movies are amazing and have great stories most of the time, triumphing the "adult" films. Also animated does not always = kids go watch a few TV shows like Rick and Morty or most of the anime catering to teens. Stop acting so high and mighty because you don't watch kids movies jesus christ you're pretentious.
So what are you saying?
Are you saying that I don't like watching Disney because it's the hipster thing to not like Disney?
Or are you saying that I don't like it because I don't respect the childrens genre in general? I assure you that's not the case.
I still watch a lot of kids shows, I just LOVE watching reruns of Sonic X, Kirby Right Back At Ya!, and Scooby Doo: Where Are You. But I love watching them the same way I love watching the Pierce Brosnan James Bond movies, I tend to laugh at them more often than I tend to laugh with them. OH! I almost forgot to mention that I still find it enjoyable to watch reruns of Seasons 1-3 of SpongeBob Squarepants.
But no, I often found that modern Disney does nothing but cater to particular audiences: Wreck It Ralph is basically "video game fan service: the movie".
Well, considering you like Kirby Right Back At ya, and Sonic X, I just kinda have to laugh my ass off at you.
"But no, I often found that modern Disney does nothing but cater to particular audiences: Wreck It Ralph is basically "video game fan service: the movie"."
What a thoughtful analysis from the guy who...just said he never saw that movie because he's too mature for it?
Yeah... you don't need to see a movie to critique the general concept. If something fails conceptually I'm allowed to judge it by that alone.
Sure you are allowed to do that, but in the end it just makes you look like someone who is completely judgmental. And based on what you're saying about Wreck-it Ralph, I guess that you also think Who Framed Roger Rabbit is nothing but fan service to those who love classic cartoons of the 40's and 30's.
Wow. Talk about "judging a book by its cover".
Sure you can critique the concept, but then your judgement only applies to the concept and not the film.
wow, i hope Rhody's dead
Well I have some good news and bad news for you. The bad news being that I'm not dead. The good news being that I wrote my initial posts and replies all the way back in 2014, and since then my views and opinions have changed drastically and I've become a more mature, less belligerent commenter. Which ironically means that you won't be seeing me comment as much here.
Basically, I implore you to ignore all comments that I've posted on this site. They no longer reflect my current personality or opinions, and I would honestly delete them if I could. I'm sorry for any distress my comments may have caused you.
lol it's cool.
