Move over Spielberg, apparently this short lived TV flop is the TRUE account of Lincoln.

wow, it really is just an extremely poor attempt at being an american Blackadder the third. Niblet is an unfunny Baldrick, Lincoln is a slightly more competent prince and there are a variety of kooky historical figures who just turn up for gags. it's kind of glaring, i know a lot of sitcoms have similar styles but this just seems so blatant. the design of the sets and the character interactions as well as the structure and the jokes which it is trying to make. the only real significant change is the main characters motivation and personality but everything aside from that is a failed recreation of Blackadder the third for an American audience.

Ok if they actually made it offencive, this would have been funny. But this show looks just about as tame as "Are You Being Served" if not a little more tame....

Isn't this just the plot of "The Pina Colada Song"?
