Jimmy learns all about male puberty with the help of talking to complete strangers and his asshole friends.
6/2/2014 10:30:11 am
Damn it Blip!
6/2/2014 10:47:55 am
So I'm not the only one it refuses to play for?
6/2/2014 10:50:47 am
It still isn't playing for me.
6/2/2014 08:20:11 pm
It never works for me on a tablet or a phone and my computer just blew up. How am I going to get my "Sexiest Voice Ever" fix now?
6/2/2014 10:41:48 am
Oh my God. We had to watch this thing in school. And this would have been circa 1990 or so and our school was still playing these hokey '70s films.
6/2/2014 03:18:50 pm
US public school? For some reason all the sex-ed material always seems stuck in a time-warp. Hell, in our health class, we watched a pretty modern anti-drug film with cursing, but when it came to sex-ed all the videos were clearly decades older. I guess when it comes to "controversial" topics, it's a lot harder to get new materials approved by the school board.
6/2/2014 09:59:36 pm
I definitely watched this exact film in school, around 2004 or 2005.
6/3/2014 01:17:48 am
Yup, saw this one in school too, in the mid-80s, 5th or 6th grade. I didn't recognize it 'til the scene with dad and his lousy sporting goods analogies.
3/27/2015 02:52:02 pm
Im feeling you. I went elementary late 80s and all material in school was from 70s. There was alphabets on the wall like "A for apple". Guess what was N for nigg..."
6/2/2014 10:56:28 am
Blip, you have been really off your game lately.
6/2/2014 10:59:24 am
Christ, Blip, hurry the fuck up!
6/2/2014 11:04:54 am
6/2/2014 11:21:04 am
"The zoo keeper cumming onto Jimmy".
6/2/2014 11:25:58 am
Today has been an interesting day for me and certainly hilarious with watching the Samurai Sluts From Hell review back-to-back with this review of a terribly awkward "educational film". Hopefully this means brad you're likely to do more episodes for DVD-R Hell, because much like your Snob videos, its always a treat to see you suffer through the strange and ridiculous from time to time.
6/2/2014 11:37:01 am
Huh. So that's what a live-action Moral Orel would look like.
7/11/2014 05:21:23 pm
"Dear Diary" next, please! :
6/2/2014 11:45:15 am
I TOTALLY WATCHED THIS AND DEAR DIARY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL BACK IN THE EARLY 2000'S
6/2/2014 11:57:50 am
Brad, if you do end up doing "Dear Diary" for DVD-R Hell, you should bring in Jillian or Sarah to co-riff on it.
6/2/2014 12:04:40 pm
What a way video to make my first site comment on. This video has been burned into my mind since sex ed. It was the most awkward thing I've ever had to sit through in my life.... Sweet! I can't wait to watch this with my girlfriend!
6/2/2014 12:11:56 pm
Anybody know where to get this DVD?
6/2/2014 12:19:16 pm
Totally thought that the end theme was the music from Porno Holocaust for a second.
6/2/2014 12:23:34 pm
I'd say, "No, it won't break off if you jerk off too much, nor will you go blind or grow hair on your palms, but you will find it more and more difficult to get it up, forcing you to think about weirder and weirder things, until one day, you're standing in a white room with a gun to the back of your head, and the newspapers calling 'The Rostov Ripper'."
6/2/2014 12:40:56 pm
I'm ashamed to admit that videos like this used to make me nauseous. Oddly Brad walking me through it helps. Weird!
3/27/2015 02:53:56 pm
yeah you christian dummies are well known ashamed of your own genitalia.
6/2/2014 01:03:40 pm
Now, is it me, or is the music that plays when we are introduced to the friend Tony eerily similar to a portion of the opening score for Salo? I'm just saying.
6/2/2014 01:05:32 pm
Around the 1:55 mark.
6/2/2014 01:24:31 pm
That's a great idea having something like the Schoolhouse Rock Bill sitting somwhere and singing. I picture a dildo sitting in front of an adult theatre singing "I'm just a dick. Yes I'm only a dick. And I'm sittin' here with a bunch of pricks."
Adam Carolla back when he was on Loveline would think of sex ed versions of the Schoolhouse Rock songs. And they actually had the guy that wrote the songs and did most of the singing in the original songs on the show and Adam shared his idea of doing sex ed versions of songs and the guy said that wouldn't be something I would do.
6/2/2014 01:25:06 pm
For "The Talk" my parents gave me a book too, but they told me to ask if I had any questions, so that's something.
6/2/2014 01:31:18 pm
A new Snob episode AND a new DVD-R Hell episode in one day? It must be my birthday!
6/2/2014 01:48:41 pm
Really loved this. Anytime Brad reviews something this weird, I know I'm getting something good.
80's Dan Homo Erotic Fan
6/2/2014 02:19:07 pm
Hey Brad, loved the video, hate to be annoying about this but are you planning an 80's Dan episode soon? How about The Random Button?
6/2/2014 03:13:14 pm
Meh, who needs "The Talk". Just let your kids look up their favorite cartoons on the internet and they'll stumble on Rule 34 art sooner or later. That's how I learned about sex and I turned out alright... right?
6/2/2014 04:35:10 pm
Are you going to do the female one? Because I think that would be hilarious! I really love this series.
6/2/2014 05:07:05 pm
To be fair, my dick does get kind of hard when I see a copy of Giant-Size X-Men number 1...

Male To Female Transgender here, Male Puberty is the most awkward time in a woman's life.

6/2/2014 06:27:09 pm
First time commenting. DVD-R Hell is actually my favorite series on the site. This "film" is less awful than I would have thought, but still pretty terrible. It's dated, bizarre, and cringe-inducing, but it seems well-intentioned at least. Far more so than any of the wretched fundamentalist Christian videos Brad has covered on this show. Rock: It's Your Decision made me want to hurt something. I had to blast some old Nine Inch Nails to clear the rage from my brain on that one. Anyway, very funny episode and I hope Brad keeps making them whenever he has the time. I really like the other shows on the site as well BTW, I'd just say that this is my favorite format.
6/2/2014 07:17:50 pm
I remember when the zookeeper taught me about giraffesturbation.
6/2/2014 08:06:01 pm
6/2/2014 08:13:00 pm
You should get Jilian or Sarah to do the female version.
6/3/2014 08:51:54 am
No get Slaver Brian to do it. He kind of looks like Dianne Wiest, so I guess that would count.
6/2/2014 08:44:47 pm
Lemonparty! great site for teen boys in the late 90s to set as a homepage on your friends computer to piss them off. Not that I ever did that.....
I did not watch this sex ed film growing up but I watched many others. I watched the Magic Johnson and Arsenio Hall video about AIDS in the 8th grade. And the video you reviewed with Justin and Justine Bateman in it.
6/3/2014 03:45:19 am
Thank goodness I finally saw this film.
6/3/2014 04:12:36 am
Well Brad, if you don't wanna do the female puberty film, why don't you get a woman to help you out?
6/3/2014 04:33:19 am
If you're not comfortable watching the girl version alone Brad, you could always do the video with your mom as a guest star!
6/3/2014 05:18:06 am
Say what you will about this video, but it seems way better than my family's "If you have sex, you've committed a sin, so you'll catch a disease, die, and go to Hell" talk.
6/3/2014 03:45:19 pm
I havent watched the video yet, I just saw the title and thought, OOO, NOW IM EXCITED
6/3/2014 04:02:47 pm
after watching: Big Bad Wolves reference for the win!
6/3/2014 05:42:39 pm
I was given those Sex Ed books by my mom growing up. The worst thing about it was that she was also super paranoid about the sex talk, because in her line of work, she sees many pregnant teenagers. I understand why she was extra protective, but I still would've liked for her to have been more honest and open about it instead of being scared I would turn out a teenager and pregnant. I'm in my 20's now and never had gotten pregnant, so I think I'm doing ok.
6/4/2014 01:13:37 am
I never saw this or Dear Diary.. What my school liked playing every time we had a Sex-Ed class was called The Miracle of Life, which has a pretty infamous birth scene in it.
6/4/2014 07:17:43 am
as fun as this is to riff on, I have a bad feeling that the genesis of "Am I Normal's" production may have had something in common with "the one even the bots wouldn't touch.".
6/4/2014 10:12:27 am
Cooties for truesies, indeed.
6/4/2014 03:36:36 pm
Huh, so this is where the sample of "This is my friend Tony..." from Aesop Rock's "Bring Back Pluto" comes from. Neato.
6/4/2014 03:58:37 pm
So... true story. I got into hot water for laughing at this film when it was shown to me back in 1996. I wasn't laughing at the subject matter, I was laughing how terribly out-dated this was -- nearly 20 years ago now -- and the way this information was being imparted was too much for me to handle. They told me I was immature and insensitive for laughing ... turns out, with this video for proof, I was just ahead of my time.
6/6/2014 05:15:45 am
I am desperately waiting for a DVD+R episode
6/6/2014 08:39:03 am
Something gives me the feeling that the female version would be ten times more hilarious and awkward... I really want Brad to review it, pleeeeeeeeease Brad? Do it for the children, and the creepy old man in the window.
6/7/2014 07:01:54 am
this is so funny and im so high
6/7/2014 07:10:32 am
Anyone else wishing that sex-ed video they created in the movie "The Girl Next Door" was real? I know I'd pay attention to it. The "sex ed" video I had to watch in school was so dated the teacher noted that she was younger than it. I never received the talk, but even I know at that point that the video was talking garbage.
6/11/2014 06:55:52 am
I know I am a bit late but I kinda wonder if you thought of making this joke http://youtu.be/udrrxCF3DQg as both characters are named Jimmy and have to deal with their puberty problems
6/11/2014 09:03:30 am
Oh god, I remember the book version of this one in the high school library- late 1990s Canada, no less.
7/8/2014 05:21:49 am
Please review Dear Diary!!
11/18/2014 11:48:05 am
" our school had a sex education class. how worthless was yours?"
3/27/2015 02:58:11 pm
These educational films are so priceless. I remember we watched hardcore porn when we were around 8-10 year olds. Then they start this award education around 3-4 years later. Guess it was all usefull for christian morons who were scared their cocks get hard randomly.
6/5/2015 03:45:42 pm
Please do Dear Diary eventually. I don't remember their names, but one was a super short film about the "dangers" of homosexuality and one was talking about periods and how to use pads. That was a priceless mess, which would be fun to poke fun at.

In this series, Brad spotlights & reviews some of the weirder titles from his collection, that don't necessarily fall into any specific categories.
