The theme and opening credits are so fuckin' perfect.

I like the part when the two guys take the old man's head off but every time I see it... the framing makes it look like they're going to rape his face. Great effects none the less. Not to mention the kid's death scene is awesome, super intense.

The Ghostbusters put a smile on my face too, Harold Ramis' recent passing has kind of gotten me down. I've been watching Stripes, Groundhog Day, Both Ghostbusters and a few other choice films.

Anyhow! This movie is like a throwback to the great 50s horror films and it kind of plays out like one, albeit with more detailed effects :D
Don't take my word for it though, I even like Ghosts of Mars, into the mouth of Madness, John Carpenter's Masters of Horror stuff.

Are you kidding? People like Halloween 3?
Maybe because I'm an 80's kid.
But that movie is garbage.
In high school we all made fun of it.

This episode started out a bit annoying because I felt that 80's dan wasn't able to get his 10 cents put in at the beginning, but half way through the episode it started to get really funny for me. The surprise ending with the G-brothers was just fucking hilarious, it left me laughing for about 13 minutes straight, and those fucking bloopers holy shit that's funny.

I love 80's Dan! this show is so funny, it almost makes me want to kiss the nearest pacman (that's a complement I heard from Charles Dickens the 4th)

I too wish to visit an elseworld where it succeeded & spawned other Halloween related stories. Not to mention I'd also have my Dredd sequel in that universe!

Halloween III wasn't bad just because it didn't have Michael Myers in it, it's bad because it's a better-acted Troll II with better production value. It's one of those good bad movies, but is still a bad movie.

If the movie wasn't so flat in many scenes it might have turned out better. An interesting idea that works just as an 80's cult film; not a classic but not a complete heap of shit, either. Though I do like to think Tom Atkins is actually on the phone with the producers at the end.

I noticed the theives at the end were also stealing the pony figures at the end. So much for love and tolerate.

Nope. This movie was still garbage. Irish pagans and killer robots? You've gotta be fucking kidding.

I'm intrigued by the notion of Halloween being relaunched as a showcase franchise set in a different movieverse every year, like an annual tradition (which is still possible, BTW). My question is why the misnomered fuck they would call it 'Halloween III' when it wasn't a sequel to either of those two movies? And why didn't Jillian care here, yet when 'Chud II: Bud The Chud' came up the following year, she lost her shit about it being a SINO?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Is that a 90's Spider-Man animated series Green Goblin figure mint in package I see at the very beginning?

More 80's Dan. Please. It's the best thing on the internet. Being a wee lad of 27, I was but a mere toddler in the 80's so it's really interesting seeing it through a familiar-enough lens.

If possible, time it with the MST3K re..thing's date so I can feel unilaterally good about something on that day, as opposed to gray concoction of horror/anticipation I currently have :D

I took a drink every time they did. I feel like I didn't take into accout the fact that they did this over an hour and a half. Regardless, I loved their cynical praise/shunning of the film.

Wallace told Fangoria that he created the title of the film as a reference to "a plot point"—the three masks featured in the film—and an attempt to connect this film with the others in the series.
