Back then I was covering my eyes and crying so much that I thought the guy who was playing with those organs cut open his own stomach and was playing with his own insides. Also, the fact that the one comedic character died fucked with my head even more and I still remember his arm breaking the other way and how that messed with my head. Watching it now is so weird now that I know how silly it was supposed to be.

LMFAO THE ZOMBIE BABY. Somewhere a person is never speaking to their parents again because he just found out he was forced to be in this shitty movie.

to be fair this movie was made to be extreamly bad. and it did get a laugh outta me every now and then.
And could you review some of the andreas schnaas filmes like zombie 90, the violent shit films, and anthropophagus 2000

Andreas Schnaas is without a doubt excellent Cinema Snob material. He's the Todd Sheets of germany.
Please review Zombie 90 Extreme pestilence, it's a hilarious disaster of biblical proportions.

Camera crew shadow (or at least camera man, since it doesn't appear that a whole crew was involved in this movie) at 5:37 of your video, Brad. Awesome.

Can't believe you didn't mention that the guy leading the campers stole Martin DiBergi's cap.

True story. Back in the day, this got a fairly favorable review from Dr. Cyclops in Fangoria. His only real complaint was the one hour build up before the zombies hit. Yes, that was his only real beef with the film.

I guess you guys missed the point!
This movie is a satire of zombie movie.... it's supposed to be bad!
Unless you've never seen any Troma movies before?
Check out Maniac Nurse Finds Ecstasy for something similar
Reply to this
No, satire is clever humor. That film was not clever or humorous. It just took a bunch of stereotypes and mixed them in with zombies. There are many satire movies that are good. I recommend Thank You for Smoking.

"Redneck Zombies" is just Fucking Awesome! For the Occasional movie watcher, it's a shit film. But for Real Troma Followers, Zombie Fans, & Gore Hounds, it's a masterpiece! "Cannibal Confederates" rightesously sucks-ass BUT that's only because it had no talent behind it! The guys who made this movie, know what they were doing.
I got the Troma Masterpiece edition last year when it was released and it's incredible. Comes with the soundtrack CD, the original intro by Redneck Zomibe (played by Tromeo's cousin from Trome & Juliet) and a brand spankn' new intro by Lloyd Kaufman and the films director and a Tromette who deep throats a 16mm camera lense! I think the best scene is the Tripped-Out Autopsy in the Dark Cave.
I showed it to my best friend and his girlfriend and they loved it! And not just 'cause they were high...

I recommended this movie to Brad. Thanks for sharing the awful glory of Redneck Zombies!

Brad you are the man. You break your foot and release not one snob video but two within the next week and you review a Nazi biker movie and a zombie movie. One word. Awesome. God bless you!
BTW Brad will you review Return of the Living Dead Rave to the Grave or Night of the Living Dead 3D anytime? I would love to see the snob rip into those two movies.

But, yeah, Hollywood, leave the vampires alone! At least until you figure out what they really are.
I missed a "Did I do that?" from the comic relief, but then again... yeah, it was just backwards projection.

This comment is really unrelated to the video, but it's relevant in some ways.
The Cinema Snob has entered my subconscious!
I had a dream last night that Cinema Snob had released his next video, and I wake up, get online, and notice that he did! It's just weird, and kind of interesting if you're like me.

They used only a certain kind of aerosol doedorant, the kind that is erally irritant see? Also, Jethro and Junior and Ellie May were the moonshine distributors, like the milkman see? Cuz theys rednecks! Also you fogot about the comedy gold that is the drunk guy with no lines. All he does is drink, laugh, and then fights zombies. He even pulls booze from the empty space behind him! He's great!

I got my Genesis a year ago, a model 1 and 2 (model 1 won't work), and it came with a ton of games, a 32x with Knuckles Chaotix, and a sega cd (won't turn on), with it, I got (among others) surgical strike, really want to try it now!
Reply to this
This reminds me that I wanted to watch DEEP BLUE SEA again.
Reply to this
I personally loved the Corpse Killer/Surgical Strike reference along with the Toby Keith being a redneck zombie. Those just made me lulz for a while! One of the funniest videos you have done as of late Brad! Did the guy from Rolling Vengeance (monster truck vigilante/rednecksploitation film) make a cameo?

That "this water is cold and deep" bit in the movie was a direct reference/rip off of an old Richard Pryor bit, "mudbone." In Pryor's bit, it was about 2 guys lying about how big their dicks were when taking a piss into the lake, one of them saying "This water sure is cold!" with the other replying "Yeah, and deep too!"
Needless to say, they didn't execute it properly in the film.
Reply to this
So far, this was your funniest review yet.
That comic relief reminds me of a black Pauly Shore, and that can't be good.
What IF Snoop Dogg directed 2001? That's a good question, though if he did, it would contain misogyny, marijuana, 9mm guns, and the occult.

Oh my god this review was amazing. Great job, Brad. Loved the Toby Kieth jokes, especially. There is something wrong with everyone involved in this movie.

"'SAME SHIT'? Tell me about it." That made me laugh. Honestly, I've only watched a small percentage of the movies you've reviewed and I already think it's too much, I can't even begin to imagine how you sit through these shot-on-shiteo movies.

You should check out Toxic Zombies Its about the government sprayin marijuana and the hippies smoke it and become zombies.A guy plays a retard that is classic. And the gore is pretty shitty in one part you can see they pulled off the cheese and pepporoni and put it on a dude's face. The ironic thing is my buddy wanted it so I sold it to him for 10 bucks years ago and ended up buying weed with the money.

Great review, and I liked the Corpse Killer references, but I'm surprised you didn't mention Left 4 Dead 2, which also has zombies in the Deep South. Heck, that green goo looks almost exactly like Boomer Bile, a grenade-esque item that attracts zombies wherever it is thrown.

Hahaha... man, it was a long time since I watched this flick. To me, it's one of those films you have some really bright spots to look forward to in between the really failed scenes. Bright spots like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre refference, the decently executed last battle in the house, and the tobaco man that I swear just came in from the set of Long Island Cannibal Massacre.

The exploding head at the end of the movie is actually really impressive. This is a classic Troma movie, did you leave that bit of info out for your own purposes?

Pericles was one of the greatest political leaders in Athens, so that's not exactly a strange or offensive name. It's a strange pseudonym to take though, when you are working with people like "Zoofeet" and "Fester Smellman".

Oh, you've finally reviewed something I've seen before. I have to say that I actually liked it this horror comedy. Used to watch it with Jesselyn durring our annual TROMA Marathon. & yet seeing these clips, I guess I barely remember it.
The brand of comedy shouldn't suprise you off Brad; the guy who made this worked on the Toxic Avenger movies too. Speaking of which, can you review the Toxie movie that has Sargeant Kabukiman in it?
Lol, the green melted zombie hand flesh is ambrosia salad. XD

You should do a review of some Japanese gore like Zombie Self Defense Force, Machine Girl or Tokyo Gore Police. It might be an interesting change after Troma spoofs like this one...

Of course the comic relief died. He was a black guy in a horror movie. They have less life expectancy than Redshirts on an away team or the slutty girl in a slasher flick.

I remember seeing this. At first, I wasn't sure if it was really clever or really dumb. Then I realized that watching this movie lowered my IQ because there is no way I'd ask that otherwise.
Reply to this
I remember when I watched this I thought I had changed then channel at first because the camping seemed totally out of place with the rest of the film, though the rest of the film is mainly rednecks being stereotypes. The best part by far is how the army transports nuclear waste in a barrel on the back of a jeep by one guy in a t-shirt.
Reply to this
Screenplay by Fester Smellman. Seems like a warning on the quality of the film.
Reply to this
Hah! This is the first "obscure" movie I see commented by the Snob!
I only happen to remember exactly the same scenes shown here, except for one: I recall the rednecks using the waste barrel as still to make cheap liquor, and they were selling or giving it away to the locals.
I particularly remember the comic relief guy, as a kid I found him funny, but seeing him again...not so much.

This is an awesome movie. It's intentionally this stupid. I think it's funny. One of my favourite Troma's in fact.

You didn't mention the scene where the "final girl" is raped by one of the zombies, and has his offspring inside her at the end of the film.
Also, you seem to confuse homosexuality with transsexuality; AFAIK, gay men don't see themselves as having "knockers".

. . . Wow, the movie mixed up gay and trans* people. And these movies seem to do that a lot. Yes, there are gay trans* people, but I get the feeling these movies aren't exactly socially aware enough for that to be an excuse. (Bonus points: if she was a transwoman, then that would actually make her straight. So they failed their joke either way.)
