Wow when you showed the end credits I honestly thought the theme from Duckula was going to start. Can't wait for the next episode and it seems it will be the Caligula rip-offs. Hope they are not like the Mondo movies.

Augh, is there a chance of getting an SD version of this? Many of us can't watch HD on our computers. Plus, let's be honest here, is there really anything in this video that NEEDS to be HD?

So this is your first Bruno Mattei Show episode since you got married! On that note congrats. Haha these nunsploitation movies are a big yawn, although this one seems somewhat entertaining. The only movie with nuns I could ever stand was Black Narcissus.

It was choppy for me too. My computer can't really handle the HD.

I really wish adobe would just release flash with gpu accelleration, how else are people supposed to watch 1080p video rendered only by their CPUs when better options are avalible.
That said....how do you turn the HD feed on? It doesn't seem to be automatic...

Okay I figured it out, you have to go to the blip.tv page and select the HD version from the drop down menu. Seriously, there should be an option in the video embed.
That said, performance on my system down here was just fine, and I have an amd athlon 64 x2 running on win 7 64 bit at 1080p. If you're having a performance problem (choppy) in HD, two things are probably wrong. 1. your computer is obsolete. 2. Your version of flash or drivers are obsolete.

Nice review and looks like a pretty grisly nonsexual nun movie. Love the maniacal smile on the Mother almost feels like a carry over continuation of her character from BUIO OMEGA like what Patrick Mcgoohan did with DANGER MAN, SECRET AGENT MAN and THE PRISONER.
RATS is great and probably had plenty of feminist up in arms with some of the crazy scenes. The males were ultra macho now that i think of it. Just saw it the other day for like the 50th time at least.
Will definitely have to hunt down THE OTHER HELL.

I love how candid you are when you mention not showing the chicken getting it's head chopped off. Not a joke, nothing. Just a title card saying "I'm not showing it". It cracked me up for some reason.

Yeah, HD video can be hazardous to computers if your system isn't compatible. My laptop died because I over ran my external Blu-ray drive on it, despite doing an analysis test which said it was able to support it. The laptop and the Blu-ray drive were purchased at the same time back in 2008. I got a cheap ass 720p HD camera and it works fine on my laptop because the bitrates is at like the max for DVD bitrates so, it's pretty good quality. But, yeah, thought I would give the heads up. Love the Bruno Mattei show. I have Sky Palma who in Jaws 5 as a friend on Facebook and I chat with her here and there.

So the Bruno Mattei Show is in HD now? That's great! I especially like that it's widescreen, because now it will fit the screen of my desktop and laptop computers... except for the fact that blip ads THOSE FUCKING BLACK BARS to the top and bottom of the video! Even in fullscreen!
At least I can watch it normally if I download it, but still, Blip needs to do something about this. Hell, I'd almost rather watch it in 4:3 again.
As for the review itself, it's great as always. I enjoyed what you all had to say, the editing was good as always, and the widescreen seems to help the shots feel a lot less cramped. But I swear, those black bars just piss me off every time I see them.

God I loved Monstervision! I remember watching it every Saturday night on TNT. It really is a shame that it's not on anymore. I favorite part of the show was at the beginning when Joe Bob would list the "drive-in totals" before the movie. I think Brad should start doing that for his reviews - that would be awesome!

Yikes, the first Mattei movie I saw. I pretty much agree with you guys on this one. However, I saw that movie once eight years ago and even I remember the importance of the cat: it was the killer's pet!

Bruno directed a ton of movies, and when you have that many titles to your filmography, some will be good and some will be bad. The great Bruno movies are really damn great which is why I love him so much. Some of his earlier work though was a little bad, mainly because of all the mondo movies. So far in the series, the ones that I liked were "SS Girls," "Mondo Erotico" kinda, "Cicciolina," "Libidomania," and "Hell of the Living Dead."

Great video guys. I saw this one not too long ago and was pretty letdown. Lacks what makes some of Mattei's other movies so much fun to watch, but isn't a total waste either. It is a good looking film and both Franca Stoppi and Carlo de Mejo are great.

I had avoided nunsploitation films for a long time, but The Other Hell kinda caught my eye to become my first watch in the genre. And really, I don't remember it being bad at all. Sure, it dragged in parts... and the burnt face was a huge let down for a payoff. But it has a good mystery feel, it got nice stylished parts, and some genuine horror. Plus, I always enjoy seeing Carlo De Mejo from City of The Living Dead in films.
