I won't say who, but shortly after I did Pierre Kirby Week, I found out through someone very close to him. Pretty much what was said in that Paul John Stanners interview was accurate.

'Tis a good example on how not to do an interview. A good one should feel like a conversation even though you know perfectly well the questions (and often enough the answers) are prepared in advance. But suspension of disbelief isn't just a movie thing.

This one doesn't. Formulated question like it comes directly off a cue card, answer, generic one-sentence-offhand-remark, next question.

Like the Pierre Kirby thing. "It's a sad thing we lost a great action-hero I guess" in a tone of voice that might as well say "Sure honey, nice shoes, whatever" and then a whiplash-inducing transition to the Youtube topic.

There is no flow in it, it doesn't feel natural at all and it really takes you out of it.

And I don't know if its the shirt - which should be exorcised and burned nonetheless - or the background but it physically hurt watching you after a while.

Ok, that's a little more understandable, though you don't need to be that harsh about it. I do see your point. If i had another shirt to use with the green screen, i would. The flow issue, i'll agree, i could improve upon. I've been trying to create a flow for that, but it's not easy for someone like me. Sadly, all the work i've done is self taught. I have little experience and no schooling in directing and acting. I appreciate the criticism, even it is a little too flame-ish.

Not trying to troll or anything but the interviewer needs work on both himself in front of the camera and some basic editing stuff.

I know, i'm still learning. Give me credit, I at least put an effort into it, especially since i'm self-taught. I appreciate the criticism. I'm at least better than half the directors Brad reviews, lol.

That's great, I like the idea that you have. I didn't say it was a crap-sandwich or something.

But some of the things that you need to think of (in editing) is to not rush it, then when you are done, wait about a week and watch it again, then you make the final editing decisions.

Even if it hurts when someone points out flaws take it to heart, you don't need to do exactly as they say but at least consider it, that's something you need to learn when you work in the "art" business (Music, Arts, Videos, Writing etc.)

I hope it goes well for you, I really do, you have a great idea as I said, but you need to work on it a little more.

Cheers and I hope you don't take anything I said the wrong way.

I never said Fellini was or wasn't a mainstream director. All I said I don't watch a lot of art films like the snob does, and I've never seen a Fellini film. I don't have to have seen his movies to mention whether or not I've seen one of his movies.

I owe it to Spoony that I know you, otherwise I would have discovered you sooner or later on Thatguywiththeglasses.com but you immediatly sucked me in with the Cinema Snob character and the bad movies. I even watched Nudist Colony Of The Dead and Hell Of The Living Dead. Also I forced 3 friends to watch them with me and at the end of th night we were so drunk that we couldnt stand up straight because it was so goddamn awful. But funny at the same time. (The weed might have helped too, I dont know)
Anyways, I just want to encourage you to go on making videos and let you know that you have fans all over the world. Even in Germany

Pierre was a nice bloke, but like most of us back then he thought he was indestructible. Over 4 years in Asia I lost 5 quite close friends, the oldest being 35 - 2 were murdered.

We all lived too hard, took too many chances and so not so many of us are around come 2010, and those that are around, are a bit the worse for wear. Then again we all have some interesting memoirs to write some day of those times and boy did we party Most of the extras worked as "milkrunners", small time smugglers of contraband when movie work was slow during the typhoon season. A typical week - movie cancelled so on a plane to Taiwan [Party], South Korea [BIG Party] and Japan {Party] then back to HKG for the end of the week to get over your hangover...and maybe some movie work the following week or on a plane etc......
