Great stuff man, I was so enchanted in hearing what Mister Tony Anthony has to say about his career and those times when Spaghetti Westerns just started and were hitting big. Never believed that the big capital of movies for once was in Europe. Kind of clear seeing that Clint Eastwood made the Dollars trilogy in Italy but incredible things I've heard in this interview.

Also the interview , the way that mister Anthony was talking felt like a throw back, like a time travel to that period. The myriad of detail he was giving about his career and how things went down are really important elements I didn't even knew about those times. Also the pressure he must of felt to do those sequel back to back so the studio can compete to the Dollars trilogy that were already released in Europe for some time but were going to be screened in the US back to back.

Can't wait to hear the rest of the interview and great job Brad.

I really, really want to hear the next part of the interview. A long and storied career deserves a long and storied interview.

I, myself, want to interview some people about their careers. Some of my list include: Fred Williamson, Roddy Piper, Pam Grier, Stephen King, Sonny Chiba, Sho Kosugi, Dean Koontz, Asia Argento, Malcolm McDowell, George A. Romero, plus many others. Music, Film, Print, what-have-you.

These interviews are very important from both a Social and Anthropological standpoint. I love them, and other people should too.

    And two things:

    1) I really want to see a Tony Anthony box set. Just like I want a Shintaro Katsu box set, with (hopefully) Zatoichi vs. One Armed Swordsman's ending. All three of them. BTW, there's 37 Zatoichi films starring Shintaro Katsu, a TV series, one remake starring Takeshi Kaneshiro, and another, rule 63'd blind swordswoman movie called Ichi (which is really boring). Also another one is being released in a few months in Japan.

    2) The Donovan he's talking about is "Mellow Yellow" Donovan Leech. And he's a fucking Hobbit. I shit you not. I saw him live. He wore frilly clothing, came out barefoot, sat on a lot of cushions, had a glass of wine, played an acoustic guitar, and smoked from a goddamn LONG PIPE! I'm not fucking kidding in the least. If interested in Donovan's music, check out "the Intergalactic Laxative". It's pretty fucking far-out, especially considering it's supposed to be Folk.

It's always interesting to hear about the spaghetti western period from people who were actually there, great interview! I definitively must check Anthony's movies, they look like so much fun.

Brad- I liked that interview alot. He's an example of a guy who really went out and lived his life. Lots of guys-like me-played it safe and wound up trapped in an office cube maze, but this guy really went out and did his own thing, living life by the seat of his pants. I really have to admire that.

Fantastic. I'm a huge Tony Anthony fan and it was nice to hear him put some pieces in the puzzle. I own all his films and look forward to buying remastered versions, hopefully with him providing audio commentary. Great stuff Brad.
