1. There is a fast growing cult of Jason Statham fans/apologists of all walks of life, myself very much included. He makes otherwise atrocious movies not only watchable, but borderline genius. I HIGHLY recommend Patton Oswalt's MySpace blog entry entitled "Gay-tham For Statham", which perfectly dissects the Jason Statham mystique.
2. There was a weird period where I wanted to try my hardest to find something enjoyable about a Uwe Boll movie. "Bloodrayne" made me weep for my lost humanity. I've felt equal amounts of sadness from "Postal", "In The Name Of The King" and "Heart Of America". However, I do agree that, aside from "Heart Of America" which looks like it was shot with a VHS camcorder, Boll's movies look no worse than any DTV film. They are just poorly written and acted. Yes it's retarded but then again so are the Postal games and he did manage to bring over a lot of elements and mood from them(including the cat used as a silencer ).
